Title: SNOW!!!! Part II..........
Post by: Mikekoz13 on December 19, 2009, 09:49:47 AM
Well I just got done shoveling off my very large deck and the top of the hot tub. The hot tub cover is nice and flat so before I shoveled it off I took this photo:

Sorry about hte link but I just cannot get photos to show up.........

Keep in mind that they were only forecasting 12 inches total by 7 AM tomorrow.......  :*))

Boy, do I miss sunny California!!! :(

I mean, at least when it does snow there the sun shines the next day.

Shoveling the wrong way can be extremely hazardous to your health.
First and foremost you better watch that back, Mike. I'm speaking from experience.

Snow seems to have just about ended here, and on looking at the "snowfall map," it appears that Heaven decided to give me two feet of the stuff.  I have not measured it, not having stirred from the house since it began to fall yesterday, but out the window shows no lack of it.  My "Good Neighbor Bob" who has a snowblower has, in past years, come across the street to handle some of mine (unasked), but whether the snow blower is functional this year, or Holiday Spirit has withered...well, time will tell, but I suppose I should show the flag and and least start clearing.  Luckily I have a short drive; unluckily, the plows seem to put 1/3 of the snow on the other side of the street and 2/3 on mine, so the final three feet at the foot of the drive can be as tiresome as all the rest up to that point.  And I'm a year older every winter.

About 8 inches of the white stuff in central NJ

Fortunately, it dropped on a non workday

Roads are still poor but not enough to stop us from getiting a bagel and coffee

Time to take a stroll in the snow on a Sunday afternoon

Enjoying "A White Christmas" with a "White Dome"...Bing Crosby would be proud

By the way, saw Avatar in 3D....AWESOME!

If the temp doesn't get above the 32 degree range this stuff will be hanging around till St. Paddy's Day.
