Hello everyone.  I'm 17 and a senior in high school and I have short buzzed hair.  I have a number 3 on top and a 1 on the sides and back.  I normally get my haircut at a salon, but I have been considering cutting it myself.  Being in high school still, there are not any kids with shaved heads at my school.  I am wondering if I should become the first one.  I do not want a razor shave, but maybe a clipper shave.  What do you guys think I should do?  Should I go with the clipper shave?  I am just worried what my parents will say, and also where should I get my head shaved if I were to do this?

P.S. I am hoping I get some head rubs from some girls at my school, I have yet to get any with the buzzcut I have now lol

Welcome to the Forum George! It's great to have another young guy on board. We have a lot of guys not much older than you as members.

If you are going to buzz it down..... spend the money on a set of clippers. You can get a decent set from Wally World for about 30 bucks.

Welcome George ... I can beat Mike.  I found a decent set at a "Dollar Store" for around $15.

After clippers, without a guard, do it at home yourself, hot shower, lather up well, new blade, take your time--it's a really special experience--that's how you "earn" the rubs O:O

Welcome George! I would say go for the shave as you seem like a confident guy (it will grow back if you don't like it). I bet there are others that would love to have the SBG look but don't want to take the first step. Like others have said go with a 0 or a 1 then go from there as a gradual change would be the easiest of changes.
