I thought i'd make a real quick thread about how headblade kicks some serious arse.
About a week ago I recieved my headblade set in the mail & took the plunge & become a slyguy. The first time i did it, i did a pretty good job. Not terrific, but not bad.
The 2nd time was faster & this time i focused on using my spare hand to trail behind the razor searching for missed spots...suprise suprise this time I got super great results, leaving me with a great looking bald dome. Something i'm proud of.
Thanks to HB. It's a product & brand i intend on using for a long time!!

Outstanding! Well done PB! O0

I'm glad you found success with the HeadBlade!!
-
Yeah. It's amazing how having a trailing hand would make so much difference!
-
Way to go PB! Many of us are HeadBlade lovers.

I personally had problems with the Headblade. I tried it a few times and each time I kniked myself up pretty bad and it was painful. Did I do something wrong? :-\

It could be that you were using the HeadBlade double blades. While they can give a good shave, they are very unforgiving. My suggestion is to start out with a triple blade or the Sensor Excel blades.
Also, a common mistake people make is putting pressure on the blade because they are used to having to do so with traditional razors. No pressure is needed to get a great shave.

I hate to say it after winning one of the HB clears, Head blade rocks the melon, but it falls short on the face, even with the new little fold up razor theyre including in the refill packs. Make a fusion adapter for it and bam!!! it'll be #1.

I use 2 razors whn I shave: my HB Sport and a regular Sensor Excel, both with the Excel blades. I tried using the HB to shave my face, but I discovered that I needed the longer handle for the facial work. I go through twice as many blades because of this, but the improved shave is worth it for me.

I use the HB for the head only......the face gets shaved with the Personna M5. O0

I recently scored another HB Sport from a friend who tried it and was less than thrilled. I have two sports I alternate using in the shower. I use the HB FaceBlade for its intended purpose and get great results with the Atra II knockoffs from Wally World.
Glad you found great success with the HB PowerBuilder!!!

The M5 is great so far. The back of my head has to get used to the new razor though. A few pimples....but otherwise I am on my 5 shave with 1 razor and so far so good.

While I'm new to being sly -- I tried the Mach the first time and did ok. Picked up a HB Sport at Walgreens on sale and tried it for my second shave and wow. Pushing a blade did take a few seconds to get used to. Am I the only one who loves the scrape feeling you get with the head blade? LOL -- I shaved 2X a day for 2 days just to get that sensation. I've settled down to 1X a day. I do need to pick up some triple blades.

No sir, you are not. I LOVE that feeling and look forward to it every day.
-
Todd you are one of many who love the HB. There truly is nothing like it.
I just used it yesterday after a couple of months, (been using up the M5 blades) so now I'm back to my good ole HB. So great and so easy to use. Super smooth!
Try the triple blade cartridges, but you may find the double's give a closer shave with less passes. Check out the Personna double, (generic Atra) buy them from Walmart 3.54 for ten, they work just as well if not better.

it really really does... every time I think maybe the Mach 3 or Fusion can do a better job, I am reminded... plus, a regular razor feels so awkward once you're used to the HB ... and for me the twin blade CVS cartridges are the best
-
Yes Sir, I agree with all the others about the Headblade. AND the 20 pack of ATRA knockoffs from CVS works about as well as any of the name brand blades and for a lot less $$ Figure at $8.49 for a 20 pack AND couple that with the CVS semi-regular coupon offer of $5 off $15 brings these things down to about 30¢ each! I like the MACH 3 too, but you'll not get them for 30¢ each in this lifetime.
I even trust the wife to shave my head with the Headblade, which she likes to do by the way. Makes it all the better.

i sometimes think those who say theyve lucked out with the HB just havent given it enough chance. it only took me a couple tries to get the hang of it but it did take my dad a lot longer. i had to coach him a bit. now he says the same thing i do: "how would i live without this tool?!" cant wait to stuff his stocking with some more HB product this year!
so uh, yeah.. serious arse it really does kick. love it/love it.

I"m still loving the HB. My girlfriends mum commented on how good i look as a sly guy. ok she didn't say 'sly guy' but that was the content anyway.
when given the chance i'll use the double blade to see what the difference is between that & the 3 blade razors.
how the hell do you guys have the side of your head? i'm guilty of using a standard disposable razor to do the final touches. thoughts ?

I second that joerg, and the Personna auto plus does just as good a job too. O0
