I just wanted to introduce myself.  I have been thinking about going sly for a while.  I think what finally had me start a slow walk towards shaving my head was seeing how much money we spent on a family of 5 haircuts, and my thinning hair.  Attached is a before pic of how I normally cut my hair and my avatar pic should have a now picture buzzed to .28 inch.

Welcome to SBG's cosahd, good to have you join. Once you shave it down to the skin you're gonna love it. Try a no guard buzz next, see how long before the urge to just shave it off lasts. I bet not very long, lol.

Thanks guys, I just cut my hair yesterday and want to cut more off.  LOL   It is kinda addicting and freeing at the same time.

welcome bro. The money you save on those hair cuts, get yourself a head blade or a fusion and some headslick or bald guys shave gel n let that melon shine. You got a great bunch of guys here backing you up. There's alot of good info, laughs, and of course timmay. If you haven't stumbled across him yet think Richard Simmons meets the gimp

I just went and shaved my head down with a clippers with no gaurd.

I like the feel of this.  My son was totally excited about this, my youngest daughter was giddy, and my oldest daughter was shocked and embarassed.  She's a preteen.  :o

But the best part was my wife rubbing my head and saying it looks good.  She was so against this at first and now she said she thinks it will look good bald.

Looks good cosah, now just take the next step. It's very easy, just take your time with the razor. If you decide you like the low buzz better, you're just a couple of days away from having it right back.
I'm betting you'll love the smooth, slick dome, as will "most" of the family too, lol.    ;)

If your wife likes the short buzz then she would almost certainly love a smooth dome. Although it looks nearly the same the feeling is so different, for you and the "head rubbers". You should give it a try.
