.... I took the plunge.  I've been sporting medium to short buzz cuts for a few years - nothing too severe and very office friendly.  I'd take the buzz shorter for my annual holiday, usually down to a No 1 or 2.  So shaving was still quite a big step.  I'm don't suffer from MPB.  But I'd been thinking about shaving for some time.  There's something about buzz cuts.  Once you start and enjoy a simple, no nonsense, cut, you keep wanting to go shorter.  Anyway, lurking here helped give me the balls to go for it - so thanks to all for that.  I got the barber to buzz me down to a No.1 and then got the Mach 3 out at home and lathered up with shaving gel. I have to admit it took quite a while to put the razor to my head and shave the first strip.  It seemed like such a big deal.  Why is that?? My girlfriend protesting didn't help!! But finally I placed the razor just above the hairline in the center of my forehead and pulled it forward.  There was no turning back - I had a clear bald strip.  After that, I was surprised how easy it was to shave.  It took no time at all to clean up my head. And my girlfriend really got into it and helped shave the back.  It is a very different look.  And it may take me a while to get used to it - a bit of sun would help. But I'm liking it so far.   The picture is day 1.  Feedback would be appreciated.  Thanks.  Jack

You look like a natural. Give it a month before making any decisions on growing your hair back. If you give it enough time chances are you will never go back.
