The guys are right, you need to try it shaved for 30 days. Remember, as your hair recedes, your forehead does grow, and it looks very large framed in the receding hairline and developing fringe. Remove the hair frame, and it will balance out. I have a HUGE head, if I wear a hat it has to be the largestt size available and that's still tight. So the lesson is, it's not the size that matters it's how it's framed. Shave the frame, keep it off for 30 days, and you'll be surprised how much you're going to like it and also other folks.
Wecome Bladio. Good you have you join our group. The guys are correct. We are our own worst critics. Once your shaved, you will love the look and freedom. No worries about going bald because you are now bald. I always considered my head to be large, but strangely enough, once shaved, it Does look smaller. Go figure?
Bladio,
You ought to post a profile picture here. Then we would have a better way to judge. As for myself, I have to wear the largest hat size too. I think I rock the sly look quite well. But I know that in the past some who have had been concerned about their looks have had their picture "balderized". In other words, their picture with hair was altered to look like it had been shaved. So maybe someone on here can do that for you!
Proof is in the pictures. Andre Agassi was the poster boy of "cute', with his flowing golden locks, which weren't golden by nature, nor even his.
I always considered myself kinda cute, pretty (don't know how to say).. but with hair convering my forehead. When I try to pull back all my hair, and try to see how I would like bald, I just don't like it!!!! My head seems to be HUGE!!!
Is this a usual problem?

The point is Agassi was cute before and according to his wife Steffi, he's still cute. I'm cute and I don't have my long locks concealing my forehead.
Listen bladio, you're far too apprehensive about this. I bet most of the guys on this board thought their foreheads were too big before they shaved their heads. I guarantee that your head is no bigger than any of the rest of the guys. So give it a shot. it's only hair and it will grow back if your not pleased with the results. Life's too short to not take a risk. Give it a go, bladio.
Bro you'll look great, you really will. You may not consider yourself or be considered by others as "pretty" but that really isn't a bad thing.
It's a new look, for sure, but it's not a bad look. And you know what, you have God's gift of a darker complexion, which IMO looks infinitely better with a bald head than your pasteoid brothers (me). So you're lucky in that sense.
Honestly, you may not think you look as good as before, but it won't be bad.
I think it is essential for us bald guys to be fairly strong and buff to go along with thetough look, so if that's something you lack, get on it. But really, you should do that anyways, right?
Just do it and you'll never have to worry about it again.
Hi Bladio,
I think you look fine.
And as much as I can see from the picture, it doesn't look like you have a big head or forhead.
I think, that you might think its huge, because you don't normaly see it, when you wear your hair like in your picture.
So, when you take that hair away from your forehead it looks huge to you, but it really isn't huge, but just normal.
So take a risk and just do it - you might be surprised or even pleased to see how good you look - or you might need a bit of time to get used to the new look, but that shouldn't be a problem and it happens fast.
I have been wearing my hair buzzed or clippershaved for many months and I can't imagine myself with longer hair anymore and I also get more used to the shaved head - and my invironment too. ;-)
So, try it - you might like it.
@Sometimer: To be honest, I chickened out of shaving. After my incident with the razor (I nicked myself badly) I did not shave again, only buzzed it. It took some time to heal. I was forced to not follow the 30 days rule! Then, in spring 2009, I let my hair grow out. Now it is quiet long (for my standards). I am still thinking about shaving it all off... Reactions were not that bad when it was very short (and I had it short for several month). But people always say longer hair suits me better... And my hairline is receeding, but not that much. So I am not forced to shave it.
So that people can get used to the new, nearly hairless, me.
