Title: Baseball hats should/should not??
Post by: edge on October 27, 2009, 10:34:22 PM
I don,t want to seem cliche, but when you get that perfect shave, of course you want to show it with pride! but is there certain times that you wear a hat most, other than habit or raining out?

Nope, never wear a hat except in the extreme cold of a snow storm

Like Paul, I rarely wear a hat unless it's very cold out. The only exception to this is when I attend Detroit Tiger baseball games.  O0

Beanie if it's below freezing and I'm going to be out more than 15 minutes or so.  A hat or skull cap and safety helmet if on a site visit, rarely wear bb hats, I have a very big head, but will squeeze one on if out for a couple of hours in the hot summer sun, even w/ sunscreen.

In the very cold I wear my Harley fleece lined motorcycle cap.

Personally, I don't mind the rain drops or snow hitting the dome...

The only time I wear a hat is when the temp/wind chill is below zero!

Wear a hat golfing or for extended time in the sun. Always use sunscreen on the uncovered parts of the Schrodome.

I wear a baseball cap when I golf and when I workout in the cold, like this morning.

I wear a hat when I fish to keep the sun from cooking the dome.

Bucket hat for rain and sometimes golf (rare). Any other time I'm showin off the dome. I don't even like how hats feel now.

Funny, they used to bring me comfort and confidence, now it's something I can't wait to get off my head.

I used to wear a hat all the time except at work.  Since going sly, I find wearing a hat is uncomfortable.  I do wear a scull cap when running in the cold.  I wear a hat golfing as well, but I find that it ends up in the basket in the back of the cart after the first or second hole.

I never wear baseball hats. I also have a very large head (something like size 7 1/2) and I get all sweaty feeling. The only time I wear something on my head is when its cold out and its mainly to keep my ears warm. When I do wear something I wear a John deere or a camo beenie or a camo skull cap style thing I got from Cabelas.

Just answer this simple question; are you a Baseball player?

Personally, I like baseball hats.  Wore 'em with hair, wear 'em without - although when it's warm I'm definitely more comfotable lid-free now (the shaved head does get pretty sweaty and uncomfotable under a hat).  They do come in handy for blocking out the sun, though.

As long as you're not using them to hide your hair loss, or your sly noggin, I say wear one if you feel like it.

I've got many...

I know I'm going to get it with this admission...but to coordinate with different outfits...

And as I commented in similar posts, I wear it backwards...

On reading this thread I realized that, since slithering over to the sly side recently, I have not worn one of my usual caps. Not once. Even when I probably should have on a couple of pretty hot days here. I used to wear one of a cool collection of caps daily. I know I put one on, briefly, once or twice. Then promptly removed it before venturing out. Not sure whether a cap was just not comfortable any more, or if I just preferred the great liberating feeling of "exposing" my dome. Probably a bit of both. 8)
