Well, I feel like tomorrow I'm going to shave my hair down to the skull. Hopefully I don't lose my nerve. Here's how I look now.

Here's to never having to dry my hair again. O0

Good luck. Remember that it is only hair. When you're finished, you'll wonder what the big deal was. Going bald strand by strand really sucks. Being completely bald is entirely different ballgame.
If you need any further encouragement, take a look at the photos in the Before & After Gallery, if you haven't already done so. I challenge you to find anyone there who looks better in their "before" shot. And remember that almost every guy there was in your shoes at one point:

You have great skin and facial structure plus those blue eyes. The eyes will be more of a focus without the hair which will look great.
-
YOU CAN DO IT!
-
Having only recently gotten up the nerve to "do it", I can relate to how you feel, Eon. Looking at your pic, I can say that you'll look just great. More importantly, I guarantee you'll feel great too. 8)

GO FOR IT!!!!! If you start to back down, get on here. We'll cheer ya on.
-
You won't regret this decision. Go for it ...
-
Once you shave it off you'll be asking yourself why you waited this long - I guarantee it!
-
Go for it man. You won't regret it. And, if you do...it will grow back.
-
Eon.... I imagine that by now you may be standing in front of the mirror trying to get up the nerve to take that first swipe. Hopefully it wasn't that difficult for you!
I have no doubt that you will look better shaved. As Paul said.... if you get nervous about doing it....come here for some support.
Post up a new photo for us when you are done.
-
Go for it !!
Good luck and post a pic! O0
-
Well, are you Sly :/O Hope so, you will enjoy O0

It looks terrific! Now all you need to do is just lather up and shave your dome smooth. When I got a buzz that short, I didn't intend to go any further, but within 15 minutes, I succumbed to the temptation to take it all down to the skin. It won't look a whole lot different from what you've got now, but the difference in the way it feels is absolutely amazing -- and that is the best part of the experience. You're missing out on the most fun part if you don't see things through.
Congratulations on having made it this far. It's a huge improvement over your "before" pic.
-
No lop sided head apparent. Looks like you're ready for a nice hot shower, some lather, a new blade, and in about 10-15 minutes a new life. Go for it. Keep it for 30 days, then if you don't like it you can grow it out to a #1--just remember, if you don't do it fast and get in front, Mother Nature will do it slow, and not such a nice clean job. Get going, we're all supporting you in this.
-
Eon...ditto on the terrific...
Listeb to razor...just shave it smooth..it'll be evn that more terrific...trust us..there is nothing like a completely razored smooth dome..a buzzcut does not compare..
plus why not go for it..what you have now is a day or 2 away from a slick shave...
-
Looks good, EON. I found that my hairline (buzzed head for years) was starting to show a wierd heart shape pattern. I don't see anything lopsided in your photos but hairlines are not perfect, that might be what you are seeing.. If you shave it down smooth that will probably go away.
-
It looks great! How do you like it?
-
Rocking the look Eon, but I'm gonna tell ya, you won't be happy now until it is slick and smooth.
-
Lookin good eon. Now, time to finish the job.
-
Looks good Eon

Looks great Eon. Go for it!! 8)

In for a penny, in for a pound. As far as most of the world is concerned, you've already shaved your head. They won't make any distinction between this and the razor shave -- so you might as well go for it. It will only take a day or two to grow back to where you are now.
The first time I went that short, I wasn't going to shave, but I just couldn't resist the urge. It would be a shame to come this far and not see things through. You've already done the hard part. Just sayin'. ;)
-
I'm gunna sleep on it, I'm sure ill shave it tomorrow night.
and i definitely have a lopsided head, the peak of my head runs a little to the left :( , would shaving make this more or less noticeable i wonder lol
-
hey eon: u look like a natural. it's a keeper. O0

I don't see any lopsidedness, but sometimes an uneven hairline can create the illusion of imperfections -- or amplify slight cosmetic flaws. Shaving off all the hair can minimize those imperfections. A lot of guys who have receding hairlines complain that their foreheads are too big and are afraid shaving will make it worse. In reality, shaving makes it look better, because receded hair just makes a forehead look bigger.
At any rate, it's worth shaving everything clean to find out. Remember that it only takes a day or two to grow back to the current length.

sorry, I know I'm beating the same drum, but I feel sorta OCD / strangely self conscious about it, looking at me head straight on, as you would in conversation, you can clearly see my head being flatter on one side than the other, this was the :Xo!best pick I could get of it. :/O WHY is nothing on my head close to being symmetrical?!
http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/ff141/MajikBonger/9.jpg
in anycase, I may grow out my hair a bit, ill be forced into Slydom soon enough haha

It looks fine. And don't start wavering now! 30 day rule, you know! ^u!ez
-
Looks great Eon! Keep it for 30 days. It's a pretty big change so it will take a bit of getting used to seeing yourself looking so different. Patience my Friend....
-
Chill, your head looks fine. Why be another balding young man? That's much more noticeable and from further away than any perceived imperfection you see--no one else is noticing it. You're too rough on yourself--keep it shaved, clean and bright. Thirty days, then go back to be a balding young man, looking forty and caught up in an anxiety battle no one, not you or anyone, can win. You're free.
-
I agree with the others... stay strong. And try the blade; there is nothing like a smooth dome. No lopsidedness that I can see; remember we are all our own worst critics.
-
Hey Eon !
Its Halloween time and that is best time to shave your head smooth and just tell everyone its pumpkin bald head time. Keep it smooth for a month. Give it a chance ... you have good looking face and upbeat personality ... just perfect for being bald ! ---Stasiu

haha oooook, I shaved it down. But I'm not doing it for 30 days, I'd rather be hairy balding and warm for one last winter. =P

It looks terrific, Eon. O0 Now, having come this far, you owe it to yourself to live with the look for a while. Give it 30 days -- that would bring you to the end of November, with plenty of time to grow back some fuzz for the winter, if you still want to. If you can't commit to 30 days, then at least give it two weeks.

Eon:
You did what you said you were going to do, you have shaved it down, but in a larger sense you have now gotten in front of an issue that will continue whatever you do. At some point in the relative near term you will be bald, a fringe, scraps, two hairlines when the island forms in front. You are now dealing w/ an issue all of us w/ mpb faced when we cleaned up--it's the "Who's the dude in the mirror?" Soon, very soon, if you keep shaving, that will pass. What will happen in the next week or two will be a non-event to a whole lot of your friends and acquaintances, a disaster to some--mainly family, and compliments, lots and lots of compliments. Now, for my own part, I really liked the compliments, not withstanding that my wife never has really gotten to like it. So I kept it, wished I had done it sooner--but I'm a good bit longer in the tooth than you are.
In the final test, it must come down to you, what you're comfortable with. Provided you don't take drugs or waste money on rugs, it's okay. But if you do grow it out my reading here about the experience of others would lead me to place major money on a return to Sly, and a lot sooner than you would now think possible--but I'm not a betting man so don't ask me to put money on the table. Just keep in your mind that every day, every night, more and more of the hairs on your scalp are going to go away, some you will see on the pillow in the morning, some will clog the drain in the bathroom. You will have to pick a point where that is unacceptable, it's always going to be you. So grow it back and learn to live with the anxiety that people realize the obvious, you're losing your hair, or get in front of it and live your life without the needless trauma to your life. But it is entirely your choice. Either way, hang around your bald buddies here, we'll support your decision.

looks great eon!
-
Looks better shaved. Keep it. O0
-
Eon - looks great; give it 30 days of daily shaving, and you'll know for sure if it's a look you want to keep... or will you wait for the inevitable to happen, year after agonizing year.

Looks great bro... next step is a HeadBlade Sport! Then you can have a smoooooth pate like mine! O0
