Hey guys, about 2 weeks ago I started buzzing my head with no guard. Then on Sunday i shaved it with a razor, and it was a great shave, really smooth and all. Then i went to do it yesterday, and no matter how much i shaved it, it was still stubbly, and my skin was getting very irritated (bumps, redness, nicks). Is this cuz of a dull blade? I just started using that razor on Sunday? They are disposable razors, but they do have 3 blades on them. I also use a shaving lotion, not a foam like everyone says not to use. And i also took a hot shower before hand. So if anyone could help me out with this, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Yesterday = Monday. sorry. It was a day after my first shave, and that was the first time i used that blade.

OK, I know some people can do it with a disposable, but I say get yourself a new Mach 3 or a Fusion with changeable blades. You'll see a notable difference. If you have irritation you may have to adjust your shaving frequency, possibly every other day might work best for you.
I shave every other day and get great results with minimum irritation.

Ditch the disposable.

Get a HEADBLADE. O0

I agree that you should try a better razor. You should also use some sort of astringent -- like witch hazel -- on your scalp right after you shave to prevent any bacteria from taking hold. Exfoliating with something like St. Ives Apricot Scrub a few times a week will also help.

There's an old chef's saying that you only cook with a wine that you would drink. Well, when it comes to shaving, if you wouldn't use it on your face don't use it on your head. I use a Headblade for my head, but the blades themselves are the same ones I use on my face, Sensor Excel. Now I got lucky in that my favorite blades just happen to be compatable with the HB, but even before I got my HB I was using my Sensor Excel for my head because it's what I've used on my face for years.
