I've got a CD stuck in my CD player in the '05 Explorer (Single CD Player in the factory installed radio). Everytime I hit eject, I get ERR. It's playing fine ... justwill not release. Any solutions ?

You can try some of these out they have worked for me in the past.
Figure out what fuse controls the CD player and, with no key in the ignition, pull the fuse out for a minute or more then replace it. In some CD players the fuse acts as a reset button. If you cannot find the fuse, you can disconnect the negative battery cable, but you'll lose your radio presets and other settings.
Turn your ignition on to the accessory position. Hold the eject button down for 2 or 3 minutes. Depending on your make/model, the eject button may flash. When the button stops flashing (or when a few minutes has passed), release the button and immediately press it again. Sometimes the two minutes of "work" followed by a quick break will fool the player into releasing the disc when you press the eject button again.
Try using some tweezers, needle nose pliers or hemostats (every tool kit needs a hemostat or two!) to pull the CD out while pressing the eject button with power going to the player.
If your player has a small hole in the front of it, like most personal computer CD players do, straighten a paperclip and push the clip straight into the hole to manually release the catch. Some players have a groove under the CD door instead of a hole. Look for a hole about the size of the paperclip and don't mistake an emergency release hole for an earphone jack.
Remove the faceplace from your player (be gentle; something like a butter knife often works without damaging the bezel or breaking tabs). Then look for a tiny, usually recessed little button that you can press. You may need that unbent paperclip to reach the button.

Well, if he was smart like some folks, he would have made a copy of the CD and used the copy in his vehicle. Otherwise, you might trash the original CD when he's hopping over curbs or whatever most people with SUVs do to justify having an "off-road" vehicle in suburbia! :*))
I wonder if it has even been down a dirt road :*)) #**p

One time I removed the factory CD player in a car to replace it with an aftermarket unti (the original still worked fine). After taking it out, I realized I had left a CD in it. Doh! So instead of either rigging a 12V power supply to it or take the new one out to plug it back in, I just took it apart. I got the CD out. Years later when I sold the car and put the original player back in, I tried it out and it worked fine. I wondered if I broke it by taking it apart.

A lot of CD players have a little pin hole that you can stick the end of a paper clip in and push and it will manually release the CD.

Try pressing the eject button first and then turn on the power to the player.
