Post by: sam2021 on September 16, 2009, 07:19:59 PM
This is the first time I have been sly since boot camp.  I have learned quickly babes dig it! but my wife does not.   trying to win the war on staying sly.

Welcome Steve.  If your wife is like mine, she will eventually come around.  The biggest mistake I made was growing my hair back after my wife reacted negatively.  It got to the point that I couldn't stand the hair and I shaved it off again, only to go through more grief.  Once I stuck with my decision and stayed sly, she got used to it.  As my MPB keeps getting worse, I think she's come around to thinking that sly is the way for me.  It helps when friends talk positively about my bald head too.  Good luck bro.

Well, mpb dictated my move to Sly, the wife didn't like it and was VERY vocal, she still doesn't like it, but most of the time she's quiet.

Welcome to the forums.  I don't think my wife likes my bald head either.  She has never actually come out and said that she doesn't like it.  But she has never said she does either.  I asked her one time if I should keep it shaved, and her response was "I don't care what you do, it's your head."

 O0 O0 O0 Ahoy, Steve:
Welcome aboard! Just stick with it ( the 30-day rule) and she'll probably come round. My daughter was dismissive at first, now thinks it's the right look for me. Professor Melon

That sucks!  I hope she learns to deal with it because being that it's your head and you like it you're going to keep it that way, right?  Right?   :x!

Just for the information, the first few weeks of having your head shaved are the worst.  The skin isn't tanned to match the rest of the head and the skin feels tender and raw after a shave.
