Hello
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on a hotel and dive shop in Cozumel Mexico? I am wanting to get Open Water Certified.
I have been sly for over 8 months now because of this great board and have enjoyed my new look. Now that I dont have to worry about my hair I can do things I never would have dreamed off just 9 months ago like swimming, scuba diving or 100's of other things.
Thanks
Daran

Good luck with that.
I did a couple of dives on holiday a couple of years ago and thought it was brilliant. I seriously considered doing an open water course but decided against it in the end. With the weather in the UK and the number of clear water sites that I could use regularly I decided it wasn't worth the cost of the training and equipment.

Hey bro, I wish I could help. I've only gone diving in Puerto Vallarta, so I'm not sure on anything in Cozumel.

Have never Scuba'd but will either give that a try or Snuba the next time I'm in Hawaii. Were we live now, there is no benefit for me to be certified for open waters.

Scuba diving is up there on my bucket list. I live in Washington and Puget Sound isn't the clearest water. Is like to go somewhere that is just sand and blue water, no rocks or anything (except for fish)

You have to try Scuba diving. It is amazing. I just got back from my second trip to Cozumel and just booked a trip to Roatan for August. I finally feel like I am living the life I was meant to live. I only wish I would have shaved my head 8 years sooner.

Go the the Wyndam Resort in Cozumel. It is all inclusive including the bar and all meals, a decent property and the Silver Dollar Dive operation is on site. They do an excellent job and your location (about a 15 minute taxi ride below the town of San Miguel) puts you in a short boat ride from the best dive walls on the Island such as Palancor.
I go to Cozumel pretty much every February and love the diving there. I have dove in many remote locations worldwide and somehow end up back in Cozumel.
Have fun,
Ken
