Title: Ward's Reviews - HeadBlade HeadShade Sunscreen
Post by: rward086 on July 24, 2009, 09:05:34 PM
A proper product review for the summer, HeadBlade Headshade. I think SBG.com has done a fantastic job advocating and informing it's members of proper dome protection from UV rays. A big cancer hole on your head is certainly not sly.... so wear your damn sunscreen!

Now for the review

Scent

There is a nice citrusy smell to this product, which I like!

Texture

This product is oil free, so it sits nice and light on your head. I don't think many SBG enjoy the feeling of a thick sunscreen plastered on their head.

Ingredients

The active ingredients are: Octisalate, Octinoxate, Homosalate and Oxybenzone.

Everything checked out fine and I would venture to say HeadBlade choose wisely when picking out these oil-free sunscreen ingredients.

Performance

HeadShade does it's job well. It's SPF 15, which gives you enough UV protection while still allowing you to get a little color on your dome. It's also very sweat and water resistant, which is a huge plus! Also, HeadShade gives your dome a nice sheen to it, which suits well for outdoor activities.

Price and Packaging

HeadShade is retailed at $11.97, which is a fair price for how long the 4oz bottle will last you (quite a while). I actually bought 3 bottles of these for $3 each at Sally Beauty Supply last winter, so that certainly helps this category's review!

Final Thoughts and Gripes

I really like this product. HeadBlade definitely saw the need for dome protection from UV rays and they delivered. I highly recommend this product to anyone, especially considering it's summer. Now go and enjoy some sun and what the summer has to offer!

Does anyone know if this product is sold at any retail locations?  I hate to sound cheap, but these shipping charges are getting out of control  :Xo!

I couldn't agree with you more. I found mine at Sally's Beauty Supply on sale for around $3 a bottle. I've found Sally's Beauty Supply and Rite Aid to be great places to find deals on head shaving products. If I'm traveling, I make it a point to stop at any of those two stores I pass by to see if I can find a deal. That's the main reason why I have all these products to review!  ;D
