Hello everyone! I just wanted to say hi. I just recently discovered this site, and I love it! I've been shaving/buzzing my head for about 7 years.
I have somewhat sensitive skin but can maintain a regular shaving schedule if I'm careful. It takes a lot of time/prep for me to shave frequently without irritation, so sometimes I switch to buzzing with no guard (wahl balding clippers) for a while to give myself a break. I would agree with some other posts that the difference between buzzed w/ no guard and shaved is barely noticeable to the eye, but they are worlds apart!
Anyway, I've enjoyed reading everyone's posts so far! Nice to meet everyone!

I'm a music teacher, so my user is a play on allegro CON fuoco, which means fast, with fire! That tempo doesn't necessarily relate to me especially, but the don (my name) rhymed w/ con, so I went for it... No profound significance I'm afraid, just a cheap pun. haha

Hey ! You're a music teacher with a cool bald beat with hair that scatted in retreat. What grade(s) do you teach and do your students even notice the shaved head or make comments?
-
Welcome Don!
Glad you found SBG.

Welcome, great looking head :-)

I teach clarinet to grades 6-12. I also am starting to teach violin (which I also play), though I only have one student right now. I'm sort of a jack of all trades (when you are a self-employed musician, you gotta cast a wide net to make ends meet... haha). I don't recall my students saying much about my lack of hair (I know there's been a few comments, nothing negative, though i can't remember what they were). On some level, I hope that I can be a good example of a bald guy who isn't scary (unless they don't practice of course...) haha
However, one time in high school I was doing an internship at a dentist's office for a health care class I was in and a little kid told me I looked like Dr. Evil (I was buzzed to a 2 I think at the time... haha). I thought it was funny.
