Hi Guys,
New SBG member here.
Finally took the plunge two days ago and I'm already addicted!
Waiting for all my HeadBlade gear to arrive (live in the UK, so mail order only).
Will report my impressions once I get going with the stuff.
Not had any issues so far, no rash or bumps.
Just need to get a bit of skin color up there!
Glad to be a member.

Hi Ian, welcome to SBG. Bald is a good look for you. Just becareful of all the sun we are having in the uk at the moment (or atleast in Norfolk anyway) as it's easy to get caught out and go a bit red up top.

Thanks guys :-)
Just had another shave this morning, seems I will have to be a once a day guy.
Don't think I can cope with leaving it two full days!

One question I have, why Sly?
Is it just because we are bald by choice?
-
Welcome Ian: great lookin dome you got, and you made the right choice: you really suit the SLY look.
'SLY' is just an attitude: you got it, or else you wouldnt be hangin round here! 8) ;)

Welcome Ian, Great look!

Thanks for all the welcomes, plus I get to see some great shaved heads!
Some of you really do have the benefit of being bald, I can see how much better the head looks.
Hopefully over time the skin quality on my head will improve and get a more consistent look.
I'm off on a cruise round the Baltic in early August, so will have to keep up the daily shave on the ship, got to look my best.
I have added a photo showing my 1 days 'stubble' shadow.

Here are a couple of 'before' Sly shots.
I might grow the Goatee back, only thing is that it is a bit grey and it makes shower shaving a bit more difficult.

Now on day 50....
I really want to shave everyday, but I do get a touch of razor burn if I do, not visible, just physically there.
So looks like I might stay with every other day for the time being. Although I say that and then shave anyway.
It is something about the smooth feeling!

Are you using a really cold water rinse after shaving, parky? That and an application of aloe vera gel should eliminate the razor burn.

I do stand under the cold water in the shower (head only) once shaving is complete and let the skin really tighten up.
I think some of the problem is the coarse hair I have which means to get a really smooth shave I go over some areas quite a few times, maybe I need to lather a bit more. I also use Kheil's Razor Burn / Bump Stop product which does sting for quite a while. maybe I will drop that today and just try some Witch Hazel.
