First off welcome to the site guy!  Where are you thinking of getting it?  On the forearms, "Here comes the [opposite side, left/right]" would be pretty cool, so when you block your opponent can read it.

You may not always be a boxer so think about a design that represents you the person, not you the fighter. You do not need ink to prove anything in the boxing community, but if it's something you want, go for it. And this from a man who, for his first tat and at an age beyond Social Security got a Kansas City Chiefs arrowhead emblem on his fore arm...go figure...
