Title: Guten Tag!
Post by: The Noggin on June 18, 2009, 03:52:35 PM: Hi everyone, after lurking here for a couple of days I am joining you guys.

I am 46 years old, I'm from Germany and went sly (didn't know that term until I found SBG :)) 2 months ago.

Last year I came to the point that I didn't like my "hairstyle" any more since there was this "see through effect" on the top and the Geheimratsecken (receding hairline that is) were obviously on their way to meet the bald spot on the back.
I didn't think of shaving it off at all, I got me a clipper and clipped right away. I started at #4 and liked it. After some weeks I tried #3 and found it to be better. Then came #2, #1, then I was using it with no guards. 1 week later I had some days off around Easter, so I took my electric razor and got rid of the stubble. It took quite some time, but the result was stunning. It felt like coming home after a long journey! I knew immediately that this was IT. On the internet I found out about the Headblade and ordered a starting pack. Until it arrived I used the electric, but then I started shaving with the HB and use it now every day. It is great!

There were only a few reactions by other people when I started with the buzz cut, positive and negative. But it was no big deal for me. When I finally went sly after 5 Months or so everyone seemed to have gotten used to the disappearance of my hair, so it was a smooth ;) transition.

So, I am looking forward to be a member of the SBG family.
