I've done my best to check out other threads regarding psoriasis and other issues that may cause a dry/red/flaky dome, but I figured I'd let you know my scenario. On the left side of my head, pretty much an inch above the ear, I have a problem area. It shows a little redness and it's also showing what seems to be whiteness surrounding it. The whiteness may just be normal and is just accentuated by the redness, but anyway..the weekend is coming up and it's a perfect time for me to get some dome therapy. A coworker who just buzzes his hair suggested T-Gel and said that it works well for his condition, which seems to be similar to mine scalp-wise. The neutrogena post-shave lotion I have seems to leave my scalp a little leathery and it still dries out. I think I may have the old lady shave it since I'm still a rookie and tend to be a little careless with the blade (I'm also trying my hardest not to use a blade more than once, but it's getting expensive). Just curious if any of you guys have any suggestions that will get me looking sly for Monday. I'll try to get some pictures up tonight or something. Thanks.

Well...I've diagnosed myself as having seborrheic dermatitis because of Google images. I could be and probably am way off, but we'll see. I think I need to really let the shampoo set into my melon in order for it to do any good. Hopefully, it will work itsself out after the first couple of weeks, but until then I need some quick fixes(or at least some weekend spa treatment for the head). Only thing that sucks here (at the house) is that the shower doesn't really like to give me hot water. I can get decent stuff from the sink, so I may have to improvise. I'll be hitting the shower in a couple hours before a job interview, so I'll see how it goes.

Search the Forum for posts on SD..... at least one member on here has this issue (SCHRO) but he gets total relief from it by shaving his head. My guess is that if you keep shaving it will go away or be much less of a problem.
You can PM SCHRO for more info/help......... he's a real good guy....... except for that whole Jimmy Buffet thing.....

Right on. Tonight, I'm wasted away in Ronricoville...I've read some of his posts, though. Definitely got a positive outlook from them. Thanks.
Even just letting the Head & Shoulders set in for 5 minutes has really helped the dome. Admittedly, I need some mousturiser afterwards, but the redness & stuff is a lot less apparent. By the end of the weekend, i hope to be posting some solid melon pics.
