Hey there. First, I've got to say that after reading a few threads on this site over the last day or so, I'm totally digging the vibe on here. I recently became completely (or as close as I could come) sly. I've shaved my head with clippers a few times a year for the past few years, but never went all the way. In retrospect, I probably should've researched first, but oh well. I've always had a dry scalp, so I may have gone overboard with the lotion & stuff the first day of shaving. It currently doesn't look too bad, although I've got 2 red spots on either side of my head (just above/behind the temple). I'm hoping to god that these go away. Yesterday, I went ahead and got some shave gel with aloe and some neutrogena aftershave lotion. It seemed to work pretty well, but the redness is still there. I'm hoping that it will heal/go away soon, as my commitment to slyness depends upon it. I plan on picking up some baldguyz stuff very soon and adopting a fully sly lifestyle. Jesus..I hope I don't have to go to the derm doctor. Anyhow, I'll post any issues I have in the appropriate forums. Thanks guys.

Thanks guys. I'm optimistic that after a week or so the slyness will shine in all its glory, but if not, I'll look into some medicated stuffs. By the way, I'm posting this from Guam. Slyness (although usually with some stubble) is pretty big here, so I may have to turn some boys onto this site.

Welcome GMB.  Glad you have found us and decided to go the Sly route.  The more the merrier.  An yes, check out the forums for shaving details and routines.  They are a great help.
