Title: I am a poet and didnt know it

here is one I wrote in my time off  :popo

title: "Another night of dreams and dreams broken"

Another night of dreams and dreams broken,
Was it worth the fun and promises spoken?

You search to do well in a world that’s so wrong,
How can one keep focus, taking hits from the bong.

You fool yourself inside you just lie,
The people around you just look with a sigh.

Keep focus, you try and chemicals connect,
Your ship has just wrecked, now your swabbing the deck,

Hidden in a world only you can control,
Taking its toll on this down worldly stroll.

You had your chance it’s stolen the dance,
Took your romance and left you to prance.

Another night of dreams and dreams broken,
Was it worth the fun and promises spoken?

Everything gained was lost with the time,
Your decisions were made at the drop of a dime.

No money, no control, and it’s taken your soul,
Stuck in this hole, like the craps player’s roll.

The gamble was made now your chips are all played,
No more friends made, except ones in stockades.

Your backs against walls for nights your soul crawls,
Weeks of withdrawals, finally you stand tall.

One more chance to see if you’ve changed,
From the chemical in life that made you’re life so strange.

Another night of dreams and dreams broken,
Was it worth the fun and promises spoken?

thanks tyler. I am not the best but I like being put to the test.. hehe I'll knock one out of the park about bald guys soon. Have a great weekend
