Pre-shave Prep. Many people don't even know there is such a thing. Haphazard shaves with Bic razors and canned goo are the extent to what most guys know about shaving. However, it takes a little more time and effort to be a Sly Bald Guy. 8)
Here's what I think of the latest product I've tried from Matte For Men (M4M).

First off, the claims:

Now for the review
Scent
Complex, masculine and refreshing. Hints of grape, lime, grapefruit and green tea hit you first; with a fleeing hint of crisp grass. I think a lot of these lovely scents are mainly attributed by the active ingredients included in the M4M formula.
Texture
This cleanser has a nice thick base to it. Contained in the mixture are "Vitamin-releasing Microspheres", which are small yellow and blue beads. The beads are enough to give your head a nice 'scrub', as you rub the cleanser into your scalp. After using Headshed for a long time, it's refreshing to use something a bit more gentler on my head.
Ingredients
Only the best.
Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) Fruit. Cymbopogon Schoenanthus (Camel Grass), Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea), Hamamelis Virginiana (Which Hazel), and Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit).
Those are the active ingredients. You don't see any harsh alcohols or artificial products. Only wonderful, natural ingredients made to efficiently clean and exfoliate your skin. As a MUCH added bonus, there is witch hazel included. I don't believe I've come across a pre-shave with witch hazel included until I've tried M4M. Brilliant! ^-^
Performance
This cleanser's course of action is based on the same principal as the Complete Face and Head Care Lotion by M4M. This principal dictates that a product should not excessively moisturize or over-dry the skin, but rather maintain the skin's natural PH balance. M4M supports this claim by selling a product that is not only alcohol free, but also vitamin enriched.
This cleanser will exfoliate your skin and remove dirt and oil WITHOUT stripping your skin's natural lipids. I think too often us SBG use products that are constantly adding and stripping away large amounts of moisture with 'cheap' products, that we never find that 'sweet spot' where our head looks and feels perfect.
I guarantee the high road Matte For Men takes in skin care isn't always easy, but the customer can defiantly tell the difference!
Price and Packaging
At $22 for 6.5oz, it's a little shocking at first. However, this bottle includes a pump that can easily measure the recommended amount of product per use. From what I've seen and used so far, one bottle can last upwards of AT LEAST 2 months, if not a lot more. As with all the M4M products, this cleanser is packaged in a subtle and professional manner, which is perfect for people like us who take being sly quite serious. :x!
Final Thoughts and Gripes
I have absolutely no gripes about his product. It has been nothing short of a pleasure using this cleanser, and I truly believe you get what you pay for. Many people rave about the great, low prices other companies sell their products catered to Sly Bald Guys. Many of these cheap products work darn good. Now think how amazing something as no-nonsense and well thought-out as this product is going to perform...
