I'm back as a sly bald guy
« on: April 14, 2020, 11:00:44 AM »
Hi,

After a few years or wearing hair I'm back in the sly bald guy gang.
Originally many years ago I shaved my head due to small bald patches.
They got better and I had a full head of hair for quite a few years.
Now we are in lockdown I needed a trim so I went down all the way to the wood, and I'm loving it again.
I going to stay a sly bald guy, got myself an electric head shaver on the way, so will be smooth every day.

It looks great - but my preference would be sly with the longer beard.

Welcome back to the bald brotherhood! Shaved bald is a great style, and you wear it well. I'll bet it was fun taking off the hair!
Bald by choice, and loving it!

I'm in two minds about the beard.
I did like it, but I also think it aged me quite a bit.
I have had it very long in the past.......

Perhaps I can try it again, will take a while though.

That was an awesome looking beard.  I am partial to beards, especially the larger variety, so I would encourage you to grow it back.  I do not think it ages you.  You could always try a little color to it to, you would then look younger with it.  I went gray at an early age, and in my early 40's when I had almost white head hair and a grey beard (just a goatee then), I would always be offered the Sr. Citizen discount at restaurants.  Since shaving my head, growing a larger beard, and keeping it dark, I am never offered the discount, and now I am 58.

I recently, after 40 years, shaved off my beard thinking I might look younger without the white facial hair. BIG MISTAKE! I didn't recognize the old guy in the mirror. So much more shocking than when I shaved off a full head of hair. I immediately liked the bald head look. You had a great looking beard. It would look awesome with your shaved head.

I am of two minds I would say yes it does aid you but I would also say that if you keep it you should go longer or go really clean shaven I don’t like just the stubble beard on you

Did the full HeadBlade wet shave today.
Feels so good to be totally smooth again, I have missed it.

PS - I'm growing back the beard, not sure how full this time, but a beard rather than the stubble.

Yes, the beard will look good with the bald dome. I joined you today with a BBS shave. Got rid of the h&t flattop and it feels great to be sly again.
