I didn't see any similar topics, correct me if I'm wrong....
I get most of my TV via Netflix, Amazon and Hulu, so I'm a little behind the game. My current show addictions:
*Breaking Bad: Watching season 5 on amazon now. Funny how characters I loved became hateable and characters I hated become lovable.
*American Horror Story: Weird but entertainingly so
*Bones: the only crime drama I can really follow without punching the TV. CSI/L&O have too many spinoffs/characters/etc for me to follow or care.
*Kitchen Nightmares/Restaurant Impossible/Mystery Diner/Restaurant Stakeout: I have no idea why because I'm not a food person but I adore these gross restaurant shows as a guilty pleasure. Sure I know a lot is staged, hence "guilty pleasure."
On DVD I can't be w/o my Simpsons, South Park, Daria, ALF, Fraggle Rock, and Ali G.
I shudder to think what a psychoanalyst would make of this!

Right now my wife :@` and I are hooked on Downton Abby. It turned out to be a surprisingly great show.

CBS Sunday Morning, Pawn Stars-and all the associated Las Vegas based Spin offs, Antiques Roadshow (I often wonder when someone will bring me....) Love It or List It, the one in which the man shows up at a home to view a Do It Yourself project gone horribly wrong, COPS-the ones from the Reagan era make me remember how I miss Crown Victorias and Reagan and why didn't I buy several when Ford said Finis? Did I not believe them? And, here in Kansas, the weather, all channels that carry radar, absolutely imperative viewing. In the past 36 hours we've had a severe thunderstorm, hail stones larger than my, sorry, forget that, tornadoes, hard freeze warnings, a blizzard, buckets of rain that may have done something to eleviate the drought if it didn't wash out the just sprouted crops. And, of course, the hard freeze did them no good. I suppose I should watch things that are uplifting, artfully edifying but..as I'm busy translating the Rubiat into Esperanto, I'm just too busy.

My wife and I recently started to watch Dexter. Started with season 1 and almost done season 6.
Such an awesome show.
-
I've just discovered Hotel Hell on hulu. They've only made 6 episodes as far as I can tell, but they've all made me laugh. If it takes a special kind of someone to up and start a restaurant with no experience, it takes an EXTRA special someone to up and start a hotel. These people are nuts.
-
Some shows I like.
The Americans- FX
Fringe (R.I.P.)
Arrow
Orphan Black-BBC
Doctor Who
Hannibal
The Walking Dead
Wilfred
Shark Tank
Bones

Breaking Bad (Best current show on TV, unreal character development and plot)
The Walking Dead (I'm always game for a good zombie show. The first two seasons were incredible. Lately though... meh.)
Dexter (My favorite show on TV for a long time. It's jumped the shark though and needs to end, which makes me sad. Glad the last season is airing in the fall.)
The Wire (Finished watching the series on HBO Go last month. This is the best show ever made. Seriously. Watch it now.)
The Sopranos (Also recently finished watching all of them. Much headier and more surreal than I would have thought. Great show.)
True Blood (Campy as hell, but I enjoy it lol)
Sons of Anarchy (Dialogue can be kind of ridiculous, but I'm hooked on the story.)
Parks and Recreation (Ron Swanson. Nuff said.)
And come on guys, not one of you wrote Arrested Development? :o For shame! If you have Netflix or something else that airs it, do yourself a favor and watch it. Comedic genius.
-
For me it would be Criminal Minds, Duck Dynasty, and the OLN.
-
I'm adding Duck Dynaty to my list. I just started watching season 1 a few days ago and I am hooked.
-
I'm also a game of thrones fan, just discovered the shield, amazing! 7 seasons to get through! and the main character is sly lol

Seems like Breaking Bad is practically the official show of SBG :)
There seem to be an unusually high number of bald characters on the show, too.
The Oatmeal did a great comic about that: http://theoatmeal.com/comics/breaking_bad_hair
-
Boy should Saul shave that head...
-
Cold Case and the original CSI are two more good shows.
-
My DVR reminded me that I also like Suits. How could I forget that show? WWHD?
-
Bit behind everyone else, but currently enjoying Breaking Bad. Now about halfway through the third series.
Reminds me just how stylish and bad-ass the bald look can be.
-
Breaking Bad for me also.
-
Sons of Anarchy and Big Bang Theory
-
The Walking Dead #1 for me. -I never thought I could get hooked on a show about zombies. It would seem that it would be "killing zombies, killing zombies, killing zombies.. yawn, killing zombies....running form zombies, killing zombies. (which it kinda is, but the characters make the show).
My other favorite was Prison Break, but that is long over.. :(
Breaking Bad is also a favorite.
I also like Fast N' Loud (Gas Monkey Garage).
-
Yes! I am looking forward to the Walking Dead coming back. I usually don't like that sort of thing either, but this one has captured my interest.
-
Me? The only shows I'm really hooked on are: Revolution (NBC) and Dr. Who (BBC). Otherwise, I'm just a History Channel, Science Channel and NFL Network person.

Yay! Another Whovian in the group!!
Breaking Bad and Dexter are my other two.
AND I am working through the last season of Dexter so no spoilers please.

Mr. Jules, you only have to look in the mirror to see how stylish and bad-ass the bald look can be O0

Doug, I should have listed this earlier... my wife and I are also hooked on Downton Abby. She won't watch my other shows with me, but this one we watch together. Its fair, because I don't like some of her shows either...like "Say Yes to the Dress" or other shows like it. >:(

-
Breaking bad,Grimm, sons of anarchy, survivor man, top shot, lock down ,hard time, duck dynasty, documentaries, the wife loves walking dead but I don't really watch it, true blood was good at first then got to far out there.
-
I've recently gotten hooked on Downton Abbey thanks to the crew tv channel on my ship.
-
I really like Downton Abbey, too. I also like Walking Dead, American Horror Story, Veep, Newsroom, and Episodes.
-
yeah, Walking Dead is my favorite. I can't lie. lol.
-
We gave up our cable in Canada, but in the US I have ridiculous cable compliments of the family. Settling work, moving, etc, I am a busy bee darting between the US and Canada.
(Has been a weird adjustment cos when in Canada, my Hulu and Netflix are limited by regional crapola).
90% of the time I have the TV on it is because I cannot work when it is quiet, and when I play music I risk getting distracted and dancing >:D
So, usually I throw on YouTube or a show I've seen a million times on Netflix (usually Bones).
For new viewing, I love Murdoch Mysteries (recently discovered thanks to the new TV_guy type hub) and Hot in Cleveland.
-
yeah, Walking Dead is my favorite. I can't lie. lol.
I watched the first episode last night on Netflix. It was gory, but good.
-
The coolest thing I saw on walking dead was when they were at the prison and they used the riot suits, they were legit Georgia department of corrections tactical squad suits..so I walked by and seen it and was like that's my eco suit..at the time I was a squad member..lol I get excited when I see stuff like that on TV..national geographic followed us for a year filming "hard time" and I watch it every time I catch it on to see if there are and tactical squad shots in the episode

I love Walking Dead and SOA. Currently I'm in the process of getting hooked on Breaking Bad.

We have the same tastes. I'm catching up on the current season of the Walking Dead and have watched all of Breaking Bad. As soon as I am done with WD, I'll get caught up on SOA. All great shows!!

Everyone tells me I'd love Breaking Bad, but the premise sounds so depressing. I started to watch the first episode, but I didn't give it much of a chance. Maybe I should. As much as I love Walking Dead, these long mid season breaks make me lose interest. I haven't watched since it came back on, but I have them on my DVR. I'll probably binge watch when season is over.

I've recently become hooked on Mad Men.

It takes a few episode to build the story but it is a great show IMO.

Agree. I didn't think I would like it but it was great. Boardwalk Empire is another good one.

There is something great about being able to "Binge watch" shows....lol. That is how I started with
The Walking Dead, but I wouldn't be able to wait to watch it now. But it sure makes watching one episode at a time and waiting for a week for the next one seem really hard. ---man, I'm spoiled now. lol

SOA is vile, vulgar, raunchy, and shows some of the worst of mankind.................... boy is it good!!!
-
Mike, I've never heard a more apt description of a show :*)) ...and I agree that it is good!
-
I can't believe SOA never gets nominated at any of the awards shows. IMHO the acting is the best on TV. So intense.
-
I just been watching Lost again god i love that program.
