Title: 2015 Fitness thread
Post by: beardbald on January 02, 2015, 03:12:18 PM
I've let my fitness slide recently due to relationship break up and not being in the zone. About to head to the gym to get things underway.

I've just taken a before picture and hope to do a comparison in a few weeks

This past semester took a toll on my workouts, so during the break I've been working out every day and rebuilding my stamina. I cut out Coke a month ago, probably my biggest addiction, and I'm past the intense cravings stage.

Good for you, Cy.  Good luck.  I'm trying to eliminate the diet sodas an the fake sweetners.

Thanks, Mike. Soda, whether diet or not, is a gateway drink to all the fried and salty deliciousness I like. If I have a Coke, then I want pizza. If I eat pizza, then I crave fried chicken. It's a slippery slope I'm learning to avoid.

I mean, it's not like anyone drinks soda pop with a salad, right?

I am a junk food addict. Especially love salt. It's like crack for me. I can't have one of anything. If I have a cookie in the morning, I'm ruined for the day. So I try to avoid eating like this at all costs. Usually I'm pretty good and I might treat myself to something small right before bed. But there are times when j fall off the wagon for weeks at a time.
