I've found that I seem to have a better angle starting at the top of my head and moving down to the neck. Back of my head does present a bit of a steeper challenge and it seems like I can't always get a perfect shave back there. I have a lot of scars back there though.

I also have scars in the back from previous bouts with ingrown hairs.  But tilting my head (putting chin on chest) helped a ton! Getting smooth shaves back there now!

I often forget to do that. My scars are from multiple brain surgeries.

Been a while since I posted here, but here we go:

Mike's Eucalyptus and Lemon grass.  Almost out of this soap though 😭
Feather travel razor (not the Feather Portable)
I think a Feather blade
Whipped Dog Silvertip with resin handle.  So good, I might get another couple!
Dessert was witch hazel followed by Nivea ASB.

Great shave!

Razor:  Cobra Classic

Blade:  Kai

Soap:  TIKI Bar Sandalwood

Brush:  TSN Semogue 2012 LE

Dessert:  Ice cube rub, refrigerated WH, refrigerated Osage Rub

Wow...I had such a relaxing shave that I did not want it to end.   If any one is on the fence on trying a DE or SE razor, you should try it out.  With patience,  you will be rewarded with a great shave.  Enjoy your weekend.  I know I will.

@Greatnessinc:  How do you like your Gillette Slim?  I have a 1966 Gillette Slim that I love and treasure.  It was a gift from my beautiful wifey.  It is quality built and shaves like a dream.

Edwin Jagger Best Badger
Cella shaving soap

Dovo Bismark 5/8 straight razor

John Allan's Cool Face
Sniff of Jean Paul Gaultier Classique (because it smells nice)

and the end of our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time

@Hawk
I'm still adjusting to the weight so I haven't quite perfected getting a smooth shave on the back of my head. First day I used it I cut myself for the first time in a long while. If I wasn't working on my beard, I'm sure it'd shave my face like a boss.

You are really going to love that Slim, let the weight of the Slim do the work for you.  It is built like a tank and shaves like a dream.  It is a quality built vintage razor.  Enjoy.

Razor:  1969 Gillette Super Adjustable (aka the "Black Beauty")

Blade:  Feather

Brush:  Semogue 620

Soap:  Strop Shoppe (Barber Shoppe)

Dessert:  Ice cube rub,  refirgerated WH, refrigerated Osage Rub

Ahhhhhh just enjoyed an incredible face & dome shave with my Black Beauty.  The Feather blade will always be in my rotation along with the Semogue 620.  The Strop Shoppe soap is super slick and provides a lot of cushion.  The scent is clean and crisp.  Life is.great!!!
