A few weeks ago I did my own test and tried shaving every other day to let a little stubble grow (tend to get a closer shave with a little more velcro for the razor to grab). I did the same thing prior to each shave day. I went on a run with the dog, cooled down with a Gatorade (post shower beer, of course), and shaved in the shower:

Day 1: Shaving Gel
Day 2: Good ol' fashioned shaving cream
Day 3: Headslick

Headslick was the runaway winner! Closest shave, methol felt awesome, and cleaned up easier. The shaving cream didn't provide the best "glide" for the HeadBlade. The Gel was ok, but it lacked the menthol feeling that the Schro nugget has come to know and love. As beard hair is more coarse, I prefer the Gel.

There you have it. Scientific proof directly from the Schro Ordinary American Institute of Slyness. For your nugget, HEADSLICK RULES!

Tuition is fairly reasonable (case of beer and a 5th of Ketel One Citron should suffice), but the entrance exam is tough.

Be careful guys, I think there might be a ritual hazing consisting of the consumption of a 'schro-tini'.  I'm sure that the females in his undergrad class would really like it but personally, I'll sly away from the schrot-ini.   :*))

Or it involves a full bottle of Ketel One and bag of ice.

That is one degree suitable for framing, Mr. Clean.
As far as ritual hazing and the consumption of a Schrotini....you should all be so lucky! O0

The whole Ketel One comment stems from a buddy of mine (love him to death, but he's not going to solve the world's problems anytime soon, if you catch my drift). Anyway, he was at Costco and after I mixed up a batch of libations the night before, he called me and asked "What goes good with Ketel One?". To which I replied, "Ice". If I'm going to srve myself a neat & clean K-One, it's either on the rocks with a twist (maybe a splash of soda), or in an extremely chilled martini glass with an olive and a lime wedge.

He shoots, he scores!

I tried out King of Shaves unfragranced w/ aloe+tea tree oil AlphaGel today, and I like it better than the gels and foams I've used in the past.

The KOS shaving oil is pretty swell, too.

I used the Mach 3 with the headblade shave cream for the first time the other day. Tried it a second time. GREAT. Less razor burn : closer shaver.

I may not like the headblade but their shaving cream and Matte moisturizer lotion kicks ass.

I've used shaving oil on my face for years (King of Shaves and Shave Secret).  I went SLY a month ago and naturally used my oil.  Works great!  It leave my skin conditioned with a very nice feel.  I still use an old Gellette 2 blade razor that works better than any other I have tried.  Still haven't tried the HB.
