I shave my head and prefer having a beard but I'm not sure how to transition the beard to the head. I usually just shave a straight line at the top of my ear but don't like the way it looks. I've seen on tv some actors have it like faded into the head and where the beard begins is barely visible? How do you goom yours?

Welcome to Sly Bald Guys!! Since I have a goatee, I'm going to defer to guys like Medicineman to help answer your question.

Thanks! Glad you dig the site.
I'm suspecting you'll need an adjustable beard trimmer to do a "fade" on your beard.

Welcome to the site, Pimpin! I'm clean shaven most of the time, but when I grow the goatee, I shave with the grain on the jaw line to cut the hair, but it doesn't get close enough to give the clean shaven look. ??? I know that is not the fade look that your talking about, but it is a technique.

Welcome to the site Pimpin!
I like to keep the top of my beard even with the top of my ears, I use an old pair of sunglasses to use as a guide when shaving to ensure they are straight and even. But you stated this is not what you are after so that's no help. A barber could do it for you. Or get yourself a good set of clippers and practice at it. Sorry I can't be of more help. :-[

Well, I don't have a full beard, but I do have sideburns. I trim mine to be right above my tragus and then keep my burns trimmed to a point at the top.
