Now that it's on, I gotta say I'm feeling more optimistic than usual about the Brownies. Which is to say I'm completely cynical and won't be surprised if they totally choke. But still.. Maybe a .500 season? I mean, we have a pretty lightweight schedule compared to last year.
Who you got?

Born and raised in Pittsburgh, so there's only one answer for me - Steelers!

I'm almost ashamed to admit it, but I'm a Bills fan. Given what we did/didn't do in the offseason, I can only assume that we're already the front runners in the Andrew Luck lottery next year O0

the lions i hope i pray

I think the Vikings are gonna go all the way this year . . . :*))

DETROIT LIONS............................finally after about 50 years actually look pretty good. They have a very tough defense, led by a man named ''SUH''. The talk around here is that they could be one of the top teams in the division.........................although the Packers are the champs. Should be an interesting season for the LIons!!!!

Easy .... DA BEARS!!!! all the way to the S.B.

Born and raised in Chicago in the days when the Bears were playing at Wrigley Field so if I'm pulling for anybody it will be the Bears. The question of whether I'm pulling for anybody (NFL-wise) is still up in the air after the lock out. I gotta say that I'm on the fence about whether to even watch any games this year. I'm really kinda fed up with grown men playing a kids' game for more money in a year than most of us will ever see in a lifetime of toil and then there are the owners.....WTF? Even richer and more diversified crybabies than the players. And they all have agents and legal teams and product lines.
I remember seeing a documentary about the Kansas City Chiefs years ago and one of the things they talked about was QB Len Dawson selling insurance during the off season to make ends meet. That was when guys played football because they loved it.
So I dunno. I might watch this year and then again.....maybe not. Kinda sick of all the bitchin'.

Anyone but the steelers!!!!
Buddha, I hear you. Especially when it comes to the big stars. However, for a lot of players I can see where they're coming from. You figure the average NFL career is 3 years (crazy, right?) And if you make the minimum salary as a rookie, you will have about $1.2 million after three years and taxes will take a chunk of that. Now the owners want more games and a longer season. If you are a player in a sport notorious for injury shortened careers, of course you are not going to want to add more games onto the season. So I see it from both sides. They make a lot of money, but many of them are not in the league very long at all.

Da Bears

What is the logic behind being on their one yard line with no time on the clock and handing it off to a guy that is 7 or 8 yards back and giving the goal line defense team time to see what you are doing and build a wall to stop you. Who Dat said Who Dat.

Sorry, no sympathy here. So what if some overall marginally talented guy plays in the NFL for 3 years and makes $1.2 mil and tears up his knee? Are we forgetting that he also had a full-boat 4 year scholarship to some major university? What the hell did he do while he was there? If he was smart he studied something usefull so just in case the football thing didn't work out he would have something to fall back on. If he chose to not take advantage of that free ride (and yes, that would be a choice) I can't think of anything to say other than tough $h!t.
But that's just my opinion.....and I could be wrong.

It is an incredible day to be a Ravens fan......................

Ravens and Steelers both make me ill, but if I have to choose I would definitely pull for the Ravens. AFC north is looking crazy right now. Things will probably settle in a few weeks from now and the browns will be back in the cellar...
