I was playing Band Dad tonight at my twin's pep rally. As I was walking into the gym's bleachers, I passed the school's costumed and very animated lion mascot.
I suddenly felt a furry paw rubbing my head. I turned and started rubbing behind the mascot's right ear. (I had to tell the guy in the costume what I was doing.) He immediately began stomping his foot in mock enjoyment. Several flashes from cell phones went off while we did this.
Hope I can get one of the shots.

Just after I got married, we went to Knott's (scary) Farm for Halloween. It was dark and the costumed zombies, monsters were lurking in the shadows, she was on my left holding hands (awe) and I saw one of the zombies flanking us to the right coming in fast to give us a scare, I waved him back discretely and distracted her by pointing in the opposite direction, when she turned, I faked a cough with my left hand and motioned for him to step in, while she was still distracted, he took her hand and they continued to walk about 2 steps before she screamed.
Oh, the memories...probably why the marriage didn't work out.
