Title: Is it a good thing if no one really cares?
Post by: ShavenHaven on May 06, 2013, 09:49:53 AM
Shaved my head for the first time and ive found overall, no one really cares.

Actually Ive had some positivity, people have said its cute etc.

Does it mean I look good with shaved head? Cuz if I looked bad people would say and I could sense a negative reaction?

We all tend to think that everyone is paying attention to us and when we make a dramatic change, we think everyone will notice, but in reality people are busy with their own lives so they move past our changes quickly.  Take it that the compliments you got are a good sign.  If you like being sly, that's what matters.  Negative comments shouldn't make you change your mind if sly is what you want.

Npsbg got it right. In this case indifference is a good thing.

Well I generally ignore what people say good and bad. I know I have lied to friends about how "good" their har cut looked. People generally get over it fast and your true friends won't bat an eye lash :)
What's important for me is the confidence it gives me

Yep, it's a pretty uneventful thing for most people. It's only big for the shavee!

If you've been getting no comments or just the odd comment, sounds like you've taken to the sly look quite naturally.

So keep it up !!

The stigma of being bald has essentially vanished. If it's attention you seek, drawn a line down the middle of your head and if anyone asks say you're a penis.

Its a case of looking good and feling good quite literally ,using physical senses as wrm air or cool air comes in contact with a freshly shaven scalp.

It's a great thing, after being made fun in high school when I shaved my head.
To wearing a toupee for a couple years, then shaving again at work.
And nobody noticed or said anything except one person. It was awesome. It lets you adjust at your own pace, without people making fun of you for shaving your head  or any rude comments.

Btw  your shaved head looks great in your pics. You have nothing to be insecure about.
