How do I use it? Lol. Do I wash with it first or use it like shaving cream?
-
It's most effective when applied with a brush. Most shave soaps provide a brush.

Warm lather feels great, but you need to get a shaving brush first.
Once you have the brush, put the soap in a mug (a shaving mug is optimal, but a coffee mug will do), wet the shaving brush with hot water, shake out the excess water from the bristles, rub the bristles vigorously around on the soap to make a lather, apply the lather to the section of the scalp/beard you intend to shave immediately, shave that section, rinse the bristles with hot water, shake them out, make more lather, apply, shave, repeat.
When finished, drain the water from the mug and hang the brush in a stand bristles down or at least keep it on its side to dry.
(Now I'm in the mood to do this when I get home this evening.)

Yes, a brush is a necessary tool. GREAT hot lather.
If you like shave soaps, here's a consideration.

Warhawk suggested this awhile back. I tried a can and now have ordered two more. The scent lasts to the bottom of the tin. Nice lather. Worth the price.

I don't have a brush so I just lather it up on my head and combined with the micro touch I get the best shave ever!

Basic brushes are pretty economical at most pharmacies. You can get a better quality brush from Amazon or shave shop.

If you want a brush, get one of these when they're back in stock. Best value in the set shaving world.

I've never used shave soap but am considering giving it a try. Why do you only do 1 section at a time? I had a barbershop head shave and she did the same thing.

Not everyone does, but depending on the method you are using to shave and the quality of the lather you are using, it can dry out. That leads to irritation and razor clogging.
