Hi everyone (apologies if this is a little long) i came across this fabulous site after a quick search on google last night, so heres my story i noticed my hair thinning a few years back, actually ive always had a thin type of hair but lately there has definately been a noticable thinning. It started with receeding in my temples when i was in my 20's but now i think they call it the horseshoe pattern has appeared. I have always cut my own hair and have dabbled with a few styles that best mask the problem area, im not talking about a comb over but ive tried a part and a short mohawk and always kept the sides buzzed short. Ive also tried saw palmetto after reading about it online and heard it was safer than other medications but then found out (not personally) that it could have similar side effects as it does the same thing, also I have been using minnoxidil for almost 8 months now and really havent noticed any improvements and its a bit of a hassle and a lot of cost for nothing, oh and i also tried toppik but that just made a mess lol. So considering my options, ive buzzed it down on occasion to a number 4 also a 3 with a side fade to a 1 and also once buzzed it down to a number 1 allover but let it grow out again, never gone full no guard and dont think i would dare shave with a razor.

it you have gone to #1 then the its only a small step to no guard and after that to shave.  The buzz in the profile pic looks great but sly might be better, why not try it.  if you dont like it it will soon grow back to a #1

The difference between no guard and shaved is much more feel than look.  its nothing to be scared of your head is an extension of your chin, its no different to shave your head compared to your chin.  Give it a go, you have nothing to loose if you are no guard already.

Hey bro, be welcome! Well, in my opinion, looking to your profile picture, it would make little difference if you shave it all, and to me you would look way better with your head shaved than with your thinning hair. Is very weird a dude with thinning hair, is like he is lying to himself, instead of facing the truth, at least, this was my case. About your kids, well, children are like that, they will get used in no time! Kids are very easily impressed  :*))

You are looking great, just be confident and go for it.

Hugs!
