Title: Anniversary
Post by: Razor X on November 26, 2006, 06:33:10 PM
As of tomorrow, November 27th,  I will have been hair-free for three years.   I'd shaved my head a few times before that but never kept it shaved very long.  I knew I'd be shaving full-time eventually, when most of my hair was finally gone.

On November 23, 2003, I still had enough hair that most people would not have called me bald, but it was seriously thinning.  I decided not to wait for it to get any worse.  I just wanted to be bald and get it over with.  And unlike the previous times I'd shaved, I made a promise to shave daily for at least three months.

During the past three years, I've occasionally gone a few days without shaving.  I don't think I've ever made it a full week.  I can no longer grow much hair on top; it would probably be a thinning mess if I ever really let it go.  Whenever I've let it go for a few days, it is always a relief to lather up and shave smooth again.

Thanks.  There was a time when I thought that being bald was about the worst thing that could happen to a guy. And I never really thought it would happen to me.  Now I'm really glad that it did happen, because I've come to realize that I look much better bald than I ever did with hair.

:D Five months and four days here. Can't remember why I hesitated. Glad I went clean for the first time when the weather turned really cold; spring and summer will be smooth sailing. Looking at photos from just before going sly, I realize I should have done it much sooner. Professor Melon

What's really funny about all you newly sly bald guys is that most of us that have been shaving for years, really don't remember when we shaved and kept in clean...  It just becomes part of you.  I know that I've been clean for almost 3 years, but I don't remember exactly when (May or June?)!  You'll all get there someday...  O0

I know Robmeister probably knows exactly how many weeks, days, hours, minutes and seconds since he shaved!  ::)

only a year and i had to go to last years football results to find the date. (I shaved at halftime on the spur of the moment. no lost bets just decided to shave my head)

robmiester probably has a clock on his desk that keeps up with how long he has been sly. ;)

I guess I'm a little weird.  I started shaving my noggin in April 1982.  I'll be celebrating my silver dome anniversary soon though I can't really remember the exact date.

Keep it sly guys, you'll get there too....
