Title: Home Brew & BBQ
Post by: jascra on March 27, 2014, 06:51:07 PM
Any fellow brewers hangin around here? I brew regularly and compete in local competitions. I keep getting medals but am striving for the Pro Am spot so I can brew on a pro system for the GABF.

I'll trade you a home smoked pork BBQ sandwich with my homemade Eastern Carolina sauce for a pint of that beer.

I brew all styles of beer. Just took silver in a local comp for a brown ale. In the glass is the house pale ale. Great grilling beer.... Well any beer is a great grilling beer

I also homebrew mostly ales but will be brewing up a lager in the next few brews, just got my fermenting chamber all done up and am testing with a Amber Wheat in there  :)

I'm a all grain, 5 gal MLT and HLT  I normally brew 3 1/2 gal batches and bottle condition.  I don't enter in Comps mostly because I like my beers and don't want some random putz telling me it's not as good as someone else's  :)

What is your setup?  Do you ALL Grain?  Extract?  BiaB?

Thats awesome!  I actually have 2 friends who also brew their own amazing beers too, and go figure - they're both bald!  Must be a "sly thing"...lol

I have been a homebrewer now for about four years. I do brew beer quite often but my specialty is Mead. Mead is wine made out of honey. I also combine honey with fruit. And of course I also make fruit wine. Amazingly I don't drink a lot and give most of it away but it is a great hobby.
