Hey what's up sbguys and gals? I just wanted to say hi I finally joined the RIGHT forum about hair loss! For the last three years I've dealt with thinning hair that just seemed to get thinner every day. My story, like a lot of other guys in their early 20's dealing with this, is the same one of depression, hiding, caps, miracle products (that don't work), and finally a few months ago... Shaving. It's crazy to me how the moment I buzzed my head down to a no guard I was relieved and it seemed silly that I had let it bother me for so long. I had and still am, dating a beautiful woman who is as kind as she is pretty. I was scared to death to even talk about it with her, but after the buzz I had to explain myself. Much to my surprise she didn't and still doesn't care at all and couldn't love me more. I tried to post the same story to a much sadder hair loss forum to try and lift the mood and tell guys that it's okay and we generally care more than anyone else. They sent me packing this way! Lmao! Little did they know I have been lurking here for a few weeks and would much rather be supported than argued with any day of the week. I've been shaving completely sly now for about two steady weeks and I love it. Thanks for all the motivation and support guys. Lastly I'd like to say thank y'all for having me, I'm finally home. :)

Welcome to SBG! Thanks for sharing your story. You will feel at home here for sure. I'm glad you were able to get support from us and encouragement that you didn't get there. Being a slave to hopes of hair and worry for something so non-essential in life is not our thing. Acceptance of what we have and moving on is what we're more about. Feel free to chime in and share more of your experiences and your new freedom.

Welcome....shaving your head doesn't change who you are...only shallow people hung up on looks seem to have an issue....and I wouldn't hang out with them anyway....glad its going as it should....you know you have found a keeper

Yea, this is a top place. Learnt a lot from you guys. One of the best forums on the net as not often you get a good bunch of caring people who try to help out others without any bad language etc. Cheers guys
