So i've been shaving on and off for a month now.. will be starting on the 30 days from Sunday.. being 21, dealing with balding can be quite traumatic, especially being the only one at this age.. but having accepted that, going sly really takes a huge burden of any balding guy's shoulders.. some advantages I've noticed are:
- no more worrying. it is what it is.
- no more stressing everytime you look in the mirror, trying to adjust the few left over strands to hide the balding
- showers are finally enjoyable because one doesn't need to worry about hair in the drain/ on the towel/ on your hands when shampooing
- no hair on the pillow in the morning
- i can now run my hands as vigorously over my head and not get paranoid about the strands of hair falling out
- it feels AMAZING
- i feel like great about myself (and extremely grateful for this forum) because I manned up and took the plunge
- i suddenly feel enthusiastic about everything as opposed to being the depressed sob I used to be not more than a couple of weeks ago
- i know what I will look like and nothing can change now. I've taken the plunge and there's only one way to go: UPHILL

hey, im 21 too and balding really sucks, but being bald doesnt suck at all! i just finished a week of being sly and ive noticed that since im no longer worried about my hair, i can focus on improving other things about myself...such as self confidence and my body.

You two are among the trendsetters ... but I see more and more guys your age adopting the Sly look - whether MPB or BBC.
You have the opportunity to show others the relief and freedom from hair "issues."

Yes it is nice not stressing about my hair for sure!
The world sees my Ultra Clean head and it makes no difference whether they like it or Not.
When I was in my twenty's my hair began to thin.
It really stressed me out. I was miserable whenever it was exposed.
I hid behind hats and bandannas.
Then a day came when I went to the Hair Club. I thought all my problems would be solved........
Nope.... just became worse as the years went by...
Maintenance, Money, Time, Embarrassments, Confidence Levels and More
Now I realised that Success and Happiness comes from your outlook on life
It's the Appreciations for what you do have.
Optimistic views and values are what matter the most.
True confidence is gained only after we shed the false beliefs in our mind.
Live Now! and be Thankful for what you do have.
I should have gone sly years ago. I would have been much happier just being me

once I managed to accept it (not all the way there yet).. but things just keep getting better and better... before I used to be so demotivated to do anything because I thought there was no hope, was slightly suicidal etc..,. haha funny when I think back to those times..
but now it really is getting better everyday.. i see a bright future, everyone i know has seen me sly and approved which is a great burden off my shoulders! I'm so motivated to do things which are essentials like study, work, go to the gym, go out etc etc..
e.g.: i used to be too scared to have a shower coz of the hair on the floor, towel etc, that i would actually avoid sweating, working out etc because I was scared that every strand lost would never come back.. now I love showers loll... love the feeling of warm water over my dome and the freedom that comes with massaging it all day long :):)

As a stocky shaven headed but tattoo free guy;
Advantages
No more worrying will I go bald!
No more worrying about grey hairs appearing!
People unsure if you are a tough guy so other tough guys give you the benefit of the doubt!!
No sweaty hair smell in summer (that is a UK summer so not a lengthy problem)
Ability to afford oneself a wry smile at other's worrying about going bald
Dis-advantages.
I always get searched at football (soccer) matches by the police
I always get taken to the side for extra frisking at airports
People express surprise when learning I have a degree in literature..."but ...you're... stocky....and shaven headed"
Thinking ..."that's a cool haircut...I should get....oh, yeah... :("

hahaha nice! Being viewed as a touch guy is so awesome though. thing is since going sly I really feel like one coz I feel so much more in control of everything!
