So I grew my hair out and rocked it for about two years. I hated it...im now back to a 1 guard, and going sly this weekend before I fly home. I'm doing the 30 day challenge this time though, but I'll need some encouragement. I'm very nervous about the white tan line im about to reveal but I need to get this done. How long does it typically take to fade into the same tone as your face??

Welcome back, Kyle! I see you decided to kick some facial hair....The #1 looks good, but the facial hair will put some balance in when you go sly...FWIW, it's nice to have a choice between sly and non sly (I don't >:(). Good luck with the 30 days!

Welcome back Kyle! I don't have any answers for you but if I had to guess it wouldn't be very long.
-
Hello Kyle, welcome back to SBG. :-) I would like only to say, "go outside!". Longer you are under the sun and before the people, faster you'll get a natural tun color and encouragement. It'll take only 7 days, if you are enough long everyday under the sun. But, to tell the truth, I don't notice a white tan line on your forehead... You're worrying about it too much. I like your #1 cut and beard :-) Don't worry, have a pride and enjoy your SLY LIFE!!

Goatee looks wicked! Took me like 2 weeks to get colour on my head but that was during winter.
-
I've forgotten how long it took for me to get 'color', but I first shaved my head in January, almost 3 years ago. It really was not an issue.
Enjoy being bald again! It's about attitude. Be thankful.
-
You've got a nice shaped head, so it's good you're going back to smooth. I didn't find a huge contrast in skin tone when I shaved back in January, so you may luck out and have less of an issue than you think. Either way, keep it up for the 30 days. It's worth it!

good on you Kyle. I have to say that between the two photos you look much better sly. The #1 is just, well, just a "lack of style".
It only took me a few days, but that was during the summer. It really depends on how tan the rest of your head is right now.

So I went to the barber and got a nice relaxing shave. I'm sly once again and staying that way for a while now.

Looks great on you. Cleaner than the buzz.
Thanks for the picture.
-
Looks good bro! I'm assuming you're keeping the beard?
-
Looks great, Kyle! How was the reaction at home?
-
Very nice, Kyle! Glad you're back with us.
-
Welcome back to the Sly! Looking good with the beard as well,
-
Thanks all for the support and kind words!! The family loves it and friends agreed it looks good as well. I've always loved the look but lacked confidence to pull it of as a young BBC guy. DOC definitely keeping the beard or else I look really young LOL
-
I agree you look better sly, and my advice is to keep the facial hair as well. I do not really see a color issue with your freshly shaved head, but it should even out in a few days, depending on how your skin reacts to the sun. If you spent some time with the tight buzz, it is likely already evened out.
-
Looks very cool with the completely smooth head, Kyle. It's good that your family love it, and friends do as well. Enjoy your life as a sly and keep smooth!
-
Hi Kyle: You look like a natural. I cannot imagine you with hair. Enjoy the sly life. I know I am.

You know what? The photo of you without the facial hair bears a very strong resemblance to Channing Tatum!
-
Looks awesome man!
-
There you go. The family likes it. You like it. It's a keeper. No need now to keep the 30 day rule. Make it a life rule. Just keep it SLY.
Looks good.

Not quite 30 days yet, but how's the sly treating you? How often are you shaving it? More beard growth? Feedback from others?

You look great with a naked scalp and a beard. Congratulations, and enjoy your total baldness.
-
Your scalp appears to be is tanning up pretty fast.
Glad you are happy with the look, sir.
-
Looking even better with every photo!
-
Yeah dude, you really rock that look. Wish I had looked that good when I was your age!
