Title: Olive Oil
Post by: john.peachie on October 11, 2015, 11:30:23 AM
Hello from here everyone,

Has anyone tried using extra virgin olive oil as a skin moisturizer/aftershave?

My assistant is a young Tunisian who shaves a few times a year (makes me sick) but when he does, he uses off the grocers shelf olive oil as pre-shave, then as an aftershave.

I gave it a try, and it is rather soothing and keeps the dome very soft.  Literally just a few drops in the palm of the hand because a little goes a very long way, then towel off whatever hasn't sunk in.  The jury is still out on the shine factor, but it does feel good.

Have any of you experimented with this??

I haven't experimented with Olive Oil, but I know there has been a few in the past that have posted about using it.

One time after a barber gave me a head shave, he used a spray can of Olive oil to spray it on my head. It was the sane kind you would buy for cooking. He then rubbed it in and polished it with a towel. Gave me an amazing shine and Im sure was great for my scalp. I sometimes use Olive oil at home after a head shave.
