The other week I bought a Kent comb so I decided to de-tangle my beard.  I oiled it up extra heavily and worked at it for a while and not it feels super long.  BTW, I strongly oppose the use of those hair straightening heated combs because I'm virtually convinced that my frequent use of one in 2019 fried my hair, because my beard has regrown almost all of that length but it feels totally different than in 2019.

You don't know me, but I know you.

It's been a while... getting harder to fit it into pics... almost back to pre-chop length.

I gave it a chance, but I cannot tolerate a long mustache.  This is the biggest it has ever been and it won't sweep to the side unless I use some sort of hair product in it, and then it only seems to cooperate for maybe an hour before it acts like nothing was ever applied to it.  Eating has become a phenomenal pain with my mouth being full of mustache with every bite with certain kinds of food. So I trimmed it back and did a little beard trim and this was the before and after.

This is basically the third time I've learned this lesson.  I also noticed that the sensation that I was being overwhelmed by hair on my face had disappeared and was the fault of the mustache.

I agree.  A huge mustache can just get in the way and be a huge encumbrance.

The photo below was taking at work by a professional.  I have since trimmed about 2 to 3 inches off the beard because the ends were getting too thin and hard to deal with.
