Title: Good deed
Post by: reddog on April 11, 2014, 05:08:13 PM
I was sitting in my local pup today, and a couple in their 70's sat next to me. We were chatting and the guy told me of some health issues, and he will soon be starting a chemo trial. I said "then you will soon be wearing my hairstyle". He said he hadn't thought about that. So he and his wife both had several questions for me. I told him it was not a big deal, and I am BBC and love it. I answered their questions, and they both seemed more at ease about losing his hair. I sue hope I helped them, and wished them good luck.

Good for you, reddog.  Going thru chemo is horrible (fortunately, I don't know this first-hand), but we are gradually reaching a point where, at least for men, becoming totally bald is no big deal and won't add to the trauma.  One way we chrome-domes can help is simply by showing people that a smooth scalp is just another "haircut."  You did well.
