James Tolkan
« on: April 30, 2019, 12:05:23 PM »
I was watching Top Gun last night and I realized that James Tolkan was probably one of the first completely shaved guys that I had seen on the big screen.

People are not limited by the circumstance that they are born in. They are limited by the size of their dreams. Show them that their dreams can have no limits and in turn their accomplishments can be limitless.

Michael Jordan for me. I played hoops so he's kind of a hero on the court.

I remember Yul Brynner, he shaved his head in 1951 for the role in the King and I.  As far as I know he never grew it back.

Note that I was born in 1961, but I remember seeing him in movies as a kid.

Yes, Yul  and Telly both shave their heads for movie roles, and then kept them shaved the rest of their lives. As I've mentioned before, head shaving becomes an addiction or obsession for some. I can totally understand that, as I never intended to keep shaving. I'm to the point now that I don't feel right if I don't shave everyday. I guess there are many worse addictions you could have!
Bald by choice, and loving it!
