Title: Chicago Summer Meet-Up
Post by: Sly Red on March 09, 2011, 12:44:02 PM: OK, me and BaldRob were just talking on Facebook. We want to plan a summer meet-up (June/July) to get together and have a few beers.

Since we've gone up to Lake Villa twice now I'm suggesting a location not quite so far north. I'll throw some ideas out within the next few weeks and we'll settle on a place and date.

OK, here's an option. The Cubs play the Sox at Wrigley on July 2 & 3 (a Saturday & Sunday). Remember, this is the Fourth of July weekend! I could get a block of tickets if we act on it early enough. (Cubs vs Sox at The Cell are on weekdays). Think about it ^-^

Maybe at some point, I miss that area at times as I was stationed on the U.S.S. Momsen in Everett from 2004-2006.

I cud do Glasgow , gatwick is only up the road and flights not too expensive

Honestly, weekends are best for me. Especially Sundays. Those are almost always wide open for me. I'm too busy most weeknights being a new dad...
