Title: The one spot you always miss?
Post by: jbrit25 on November 17, 2015, 11:48:49 AM
I was wondering if anyone else has this problem. There's one spot on the back of my head, about 1 razor length from my ear. I miss this spot 70% of the time even when I consciously try to get it. I even feel to be sure I got it and then an hour later, I touch the back of my head and I realize I missed it.

Yep...same place too....started shaving in the shower and most of the time I get it.

I shave by the feel in the shower and the last few times I've shaved, I've been convinced that I've gotten the perfect shave, with no missed spots. But about twenty to thirty minutes later, I find a couple of seemingly obvious rough patches that I've missed.
It's not always the same spots, though...

the spot that I always miss is at the hairline immediately behind my right ear. always have to do a triple check there! If I'm not careful, I'll nick my ear with the razor!

mine is a spot behid and just a bit higher than my left ear.  I can go over it three times, watching in the mirror as I do it - shave it from every conceivable angle - and STILL I can feel the roughness!!!!!!!!

The crown is my worst spot.  My hair grows in multiple directions so I have to do all sorts of digital gymnastics to get everything.

Haha see this is why I don't shave in the shower which makes me a minority but I never find missed spots later! Before giving a once over with a hand mirror, the two spots I usually miss are behind my ear and the corner of my head between the back and side.

Always miss a spot or two no matter how careful I am. Guess it's just the nature of the beast!

Behind my left ear and the crown of my head.
