Hey guys. I'm giving the bald and beard look a try - pics attached. Let me know what you think. Can I pull this off?
Thanks
Slickjack
PS. I'm really liking the look. But then I'm probably biased. Honest feedback welcome

Yes, you can pull it off. It's a good look for you.
-
Looks very good on you....keep it
-
Looking good, how long since you started? Are you planning on growing it out a bit more?
-
Looks good, sometimes the completely SLY look (IMO) can look a bit "alien" like on some guys, the beard suits you and adds interest.
-
Of course you can pull it off mate, with the style that only a sly man can O0
-
I vote for the beard too.. It looks great!
-
Distinguished indeed !
-
I say yes, being sly and bearded is look I believe most guys could pull off. Heck if I didn't have to be clean shaven for my job, I'd be bald and bearded too. Stick with it, Slick.
-
It works--and it saves on razor blades too!
-
+1 for the beard.
-
I think the beard looks good.
-
Can I pull this off?
Yes, you can pull of the b & b look !!
-
I say it is a keeper.

Bald and bearded is the way to go. Of course we are all biased

I haven't shaved my face for 3+ weeks, still shave my dome every day. I love the combo....how long will I keep it...don't know...I may wake up tomorrow and shave it off or not...who knows

Remember the 24 hour rule for beards: if you've got the urge to shave, wait a full 24 hours before acting on it.

Is that a rule which should also be applied to those considering shave their heads ? ;)

Certainly not! ::)

I hate when I shave my beard, think I have done it twice in about 7 years. I hate mine when I trim it!
-
Yup. Good look fer ya.

Noooooo, we aren't biased at all.... ^-^ haha
-
Always a fan of the bald/beard combo. Funny how I'm so willing to buzz/shave the top but I'd fight anyone who came at my beard with a razor, haha.
-
I hear ya bro!
-
I think you look HOT!
-
great look!
-
The beard really suits you. I couldn't open the pic yesterday but can today and yes, a keeper!
-
I agree. It looks great. I have not shaved in the last week and am trying this look, too! So far, I love it. Itchy, however......

You'll find the itchiness does pass.

Hi guys, I am also trying out the bald and beard look. I started a couple of weeks ago with the beard and really love it. I have two questions for yall -
Will it stop itching?
What do you use to maintain the length? I don't want a full long beard, just a good dark beard.
Thanks guys!
Tim

Good to hear, TJ.
I have been growing mine out for about a month. It still itches every now and then, but I don't mind it... it reminds me that it is there..lol.
Right now, I have been very minimally scissor-trimming the strays that stick out longer than the others. I am trying to grow it out thicker and longer than I have in the past. When I was keeping it short, I usually would use a trimmer with a 1 or 2 guard to keep it even. I was thinking I may try a higher number at some point and see what happens, but I don't want to trim it down too far this time. I find that using a trimmer on my beard hair on a higher number tends to pull the hair and it hurts a lot. I probably need a new one.
Post a pic, if you can.. we would all appreciate seeing it.

It's a great look mate, I'm glad to hear you like it.
Yes it will stop itching, mine stopped about the 1 month mark, I still get the occasional itch, but nothing like I got when it was starting out.
You can either use scissors and a comb to trim it or in your case, you'd probably like to invest in a good beard trimmer, I don't own one myself, as you can tell :P But people seem to praise the Wahl products alot, but there are plenty of other brands out there that are just as good.
Enjoy your new beard mate, they are great things!

Definately, but you can reduce the itching if you put a little hair conditioner on it in the shower and let it sit for a minute or two before rinsing it out.
-
I like the beard-pic more than the one w/o. Definitely, facial hair!
-
I also like the beard and bald look. 8)

+1 to that! Get a good bottle of conditioner and when you first hit the shower, spread it in your beard, and do your normal routine. At the end of the shower, wash it out, and trust me, your face will feel so much better!
