I just bought the Gillette Sensor razors, with triple blades. How many shaves can I get per each blade on average? These things are expensive...

i use the mach III and get between two and five per refill. usually around three. yep they do get expensive.

I use FUSION and get between 4 & 6 nice shaves.
I've stretched it out to 8 or so, but then start getting a bit of razor burn...nothin' serious...so I've gotten my money's worth.

I use HB Triple Blades. I can get about 6 to 8 quality shaves if I shave everyday. It seems like the life span decreases if I go a few days without shaving.

I use Sensor Excel twin blades on my headblade and get 7 shaves out of them.

Same here. I can get up to two weeks if I skip a shave on the weekends. Lately, I haven't been doing that and have been getting about 10-12 shaves per blade.

i'm a fusion (manual) man and i get about 6-8 shaves 4 both dome & face. i got thick stubble on the face and a good amount of hair/stubble on the dome. i've notice that i got more hair on my scalp since i've gone sly on april,2007. oh well... i'm luving my new look & don't plan on growing my hair back. anyways.... the fusion rocks 4 me!!!

I use cryo'ed atra blades and get about 14-16 shaves out of them.

Well i posted in another thread somewhere about my headblade. i have bought it about 6 weeks ago..im still using the same blade it come with. Warhawk asked if my wife was changing the blade on it...but she isnt because the headblade comes with a yellow strip on it and the others that i have are blue or green. I will keep you all posted when i do change it out...but for how..yeah..i have gotten what? 6 weeks x's 7 days....you figure it out...mind blowing ehhh i would say so...i normally only get about 6 days out of reg razor for my face.

OK Y'all....I think today is the day I have to retire the orginal Headblade sport blade. It has been giving me a really close shave now since the day i bought it and that was teh end of June...here it is the 2nd week of Aug. I shaved with it this morning and felt it didnt give me as close of a shave as I like. So I have to go home from work and get ready for my night job at the funeral home. So when i go to shave this evening ..if it isnt close....I will take the blade wiht me to the funeral home and I will have a little memorial service for it........i will let ya all know later tonight....wish me luck LOL

I usually only use a blade 2-3 times... that's one of the nice things about the Headblade, the generic atra blades are cheap enough you don;t have to push them so far.

Well I wasnt really pushing it ...it was just still giving me a great shave so why bother changing it. But I will say this morning I think I finally laid it to rest. Only thing I didnt like was when I put on a new blade....i was shaving around my ear...and I will have you know...this was the first time in 3 weeks..I cut myself. Damn it bled and bled like a stuck pig. I was liek crying..I want my orginal blade back. i still have the orginal blade..it is sitting up on the top shelf in my bathroom closet. Looks lonely up there...but oh well ...maybe i will attach it to the hood of my truck and use it as a hood ornament. What you all think of that?...Hey Idea....are their any Headblade decals out for yoru truck or cars yet?? I would put a huge on on my hood.

So far it's about a week with the original blade that came with the HB sport.
I am wondering when I will need to change, but from what Tim has said I may not need to until sometime In September, we will have to see.
Also, what is a good three blade replacement that will fit on the HB sport?
Is it best to just order refills from Headblade?

I use the headblade with Gillette sensor replacements, I probably go almost a month using the same razor. I usually change it out if I went a couple days without shaving.

I know I've mentioned this before in other threads but I can only get 3 shaves per headblade. I don't know what I'm doing wrong ... maybe I can use some of Tim's razors 8)

I have the one and only prototype razor from Headblade. They are on the hunt for it as it accidently got put in the packaging bin. So please...SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I cant let them come take it away!

I have really thick hair... I can only get about 4 shaves on a Fusion. I should try to stretch it to more.

We have heard from many Sly Guys that they are getting 4-5 more shaves out of their blades when using Bald Guyz Shave Gel.

Ok You all...I have announced that about a week ago I had to lay my orginal headblade blade to rest. I have been using a new blade...and I HATE IT! I still have my original at home on the shelf and I think I am going to give it one more shot. With the new blade...i get at least 2-3 nicks everytime. Im going to go check out some different blades tonight but I dunno..nothing is going to compare to the Original Headblade that I got with it. If it works ....im going back to it. Wish me luck.

Tim, this is exactly how I feel. I am worried about my first blade change because it seems alot of posts have been negative on replacements, especially the first after your noggin is used to the HB triple that came with it.
I am just going to have to super careful with that first go round. Does anybody else have any tips?

As it turns out I was worrried for nothing. I replaced the original HB triple with the Atra double blade, and it works beautiful. I get a clean close shave with little irritation.
The atra has a good feel and I am getting about a week's worth of shaves.
I also have been using a generic atra double for my cleanup and face, with those I found I need to change up a little sooner. I do like the Mach III better for cleanup, but for getting in tight around the ears, the thinner double does the trick.

I got those cryo'd blades for the HB on Greatrazors.com.... they are supposed to last a long time.... I will let you know.........

MACH III means just that. 3 sucks cause it costs a fortune to keep up.

I have yet to try my Atra blades on my HB Sport. I bought a 10-pack of them along with the HB not realizing that there was a Sensor adapter included. I have about 10 Sensor Excel cartridges left from a Coscto 25-pack and have been using them with no problem so far. A few weeks ago I sprang for a package of Sensor 3 blades thinking how great it would be to be able to use a triple-blade on the HB. Wrong! I had stubble back in just 6 hours! Those Sensor 3s got retired to the drawer pronto! After reading all the glowing comments about the Mach 3, I have just started using mine again on my head. (I was not impressed with it on my face when it first came out.) I find too that it is great for cleanup at the sink after the HB in the shower, but not around the ears. Now that I have gone sly, at least it has earned its way back out of the drawer.
