Title: Gash on the Noggin
Post by: slymyke on November 22, 2013, 07:41:19 AM
This morning I managed to gash my head right down the middle of the top of the dome.  There are four places that will have heal.

My first thought was how stupid I will look with this big scrape on my head.

Then I remembered how it sucked to have a scab on my scalp when I had hair...

This won't be that bad...lol.   Sly still wins for me O0

Ouch! Amazingly, most scalp cuts will stop bleeding and heal faster than anywhere else....just put a small amount of Neosporin or something, and you should be good.

Slymyke sorry to hear about your mishap. Give it a few days and I am sure you will be back on your way to smooth dome perfection :)

Yeah, been there. The hardest part is shaving around the wounds until they heal.

We all do it. I think it's to remind us that we're actually human.

Mike.... place a fingertip over the injured area as you shave around it.

I think we bald guys bump our heads more often than when we had hair because the hair acts like an insect's antennae -- the hair makes contact with the immovable object, warning us to STOP before we crash  :XX into it.

Today, my head was all healed up from the previous gash.  I had a great shave and went to the annual Daytona Turkey Rod Run with my son.  It was a great day... and we saw all kinds of cool cars and hot rods and pretty much some of everything.

The sun started shining very brightly and my cap was in my vehicle a couple miles away... where we had to park.

So, now I have a little November 30th sun burn on the dome ...lol.   I can't seem to take care of this big head lately.    ;)
