I frequently trim them quite short, but haven't had them this short (basically gone, clipper w/ no guard) in a while.
-
sorry, don't know why the pic is sideways... :/
-
Gotta ask; what reason did you have for doing this?
Mine were shaved when I was ordained as a Buddhist monk and I was required to keep them shaved as long as I was in robes. Otherwise, I would not have done it.
You have such nice dark eyebrows and with your shaved head they really draw attention to your eyes - you looked great.
-
I don't think I would ever contemplate shaving my brows.
-
Why... For the love of God why! It's your choice buddy, but for me, it's a step too far
-
I had bushy eyebrows that were a bit unruly. With no hair visible except those they became more dominate. Frankly I have kept them shaved for some years now.
-
I also shave my brows off smooth. No other reason than I like it, and I think it compliments my shaved head. What's the big deal? The opinions here seem to be very one sided
-
There have been a few guys that post on SBG that have shaved brows, and some pull the look off very well. Sometime when I see a photo of a guy with no brows it take me some time just to put my finger on what is different. I don't think I would do it (but I do keep them trimmed), but if you like the look or want to try, why not? Like hair in other places, it grows back.
-
I wasn't looking for validation, just sharing the pic, lol. I also do it just because I like how it looks and feels. I just wanted to share the pic in case anyone who wanted to try it needed some motivation (many commenters on other threads have indicated they would like to try it but are afraid).
-
Good on you for marching to your own drummer.
-
I think you shave brows are good! you shoud go browless!
-
Bald luke ... If you post on a forum, you're going to get people's "opinions".... some people won't agree.... Some will.... I don't.... But so what, it's just my opinion, and it only matters to me... no point complaining just because the first few people that replied don't like it.....you obviously do, that's great... It's your opinion... No one is making a big deal... Just posting their views.... Which is the point of a forum.
-
I wouldn't do it, but it suits you well
-
If you like your shaved brows keep them. it suits you. I think I don't have the guts to shave my brows off.
-
I have to trim mine fairly often or they'd start to do Andy Rooney things. Not good.
I trim mine with clippers; but I never shave them off completely.
-
You suit the shaved brows, bro. It does compliment the bald head style.
Personally speaking, it's really your choice and either way you should not be taken by other's comments.
To answer your question: The only difference between a close clipper shaved brow & razor is in the feel. As far as I can tell, there is no real difference in look.
I first shaved my brows back in 2011 & most of the reactions were positive, so chin up & take them down to the skin if you want to.
Regards,
Bilko.

Not for everybody but you pull off the look.
I like!

I shaved mine off once, and while I have no desire to do it again, I've never quite understood why this triggers such strong emotions in people.
-
Razor, we need a photo or it didn't happen.
I agree with you about the emotional response. And not just to eyebrows. Hair on other areas weather the norm is shaved or unshaved. Example: Women that choose not shave their pits, or guys that do. So what? Its just hair. Some like it, and some don't. So why does it become an emotional issue for so many people?

I think that people have a strong reaction to missing eyebrows because they are such an important part of facial expressions. I think it can make a face harder to read, and that can throw people.
I give you kudos for doing what you want to do; I tend to appreciate most forms of going against the norm to express oneself (as long as one isn't hurting anyone else). It's true that we should be free to do what we wish with our appearance and especially our hair; but it's also true that we may need to be prepared for some possibly strong reactions.
-
I want to try to shave mine too but wondering how long will it take to get them fully grow back.

O Mustache
O Chin

X Neck
X Scalp
X Cheeks
X Brows
X Lashes
It's all just hair, i.e. dead cells
O Keep what I want
X Shave the rest

I can only say that I chose to shave my eyebrows too, because I really like how I look and feel of going without eyebrows, do you want to do it the feeling is wonderful

jp_bald, I like the photo with the beard and shaved brows better than the all shaved photo.
-
I once, years ago shaved my eyebrows completely off. It was a drunk decision i regretted, as i thought it made me look like an alien. Lol. But anyway, considering i would have a unibrow if i let it go naturally, i di have to do a partial shave, partial trim on it about once a week
-
It's not a look I care for but if like it that's what counts.
-
Your brows are there for a reason, leave them be! Although you do look great without them
-
loving the buzzed brows mate...they look great....i doubt shaving them would look much different so if youre digging it, i say go for it... :)
