hello fellow chrome domes.... 1st of all i want 2 apologize if this topic has been discussed but i wanted 2 share with u a disadvantage that i have when i eat certain foods. my dome sweats when i eat foods like hot wings, mexican food, and even certain foods with a little spice. man.... i really hate it. i didn't really notice it when i had hair....i guess that the hair absorbed it. anyways.... i was just wondering does your noggin' sweat when u eat certain foods.
so... how 'bout u? have u experienced this?

I have noticed that I bead up sometimes when I eat or do certain things, but I remember when I had the sprigs on top they would stick to my head and I hated it. I much prefer grabbing a bald guys head wipe and wipin the dome or steppin into the restroom and tossin some cold water on top and then wiping it off. I still say being bald is a ADVANTAGE rather a disadvantage, we just have to wipe the beads instead of having to turn the hand dryer up to dry our sweaty hair!!!

Exactly! Whenever I start to sweat at the gym, I just wipe my dome off with a towel and I'm always glad that I don't have a bunch of sweaty hair clinging to my scalp.

I've never noticed this. But it sounds like a good excuse to have some Mexican food and find out for sure. >:D

Never had that happen from eating food, but when I get out for a jog or a simple
workout I have noticed that my head sweats a lot more than when I used to have
hair. Nothing a quick swipe of a towel can't fix though.

Definitely has happened, but I would rather the sweat end up on my head than on my face like it use to. I think this is a advantage really.

Eating the spice foods has given me that effect. First time I noticed it ..I was like wow that really does happen. All I could picture was my whole head was beat red or soemthing like in the cartoons. I asked my wife if my face was red and she said no...but why are you beading up? I said because of this hotsauce on these wings! LOL...it was a weird feeling..ya know when it happens for the first time it sorta freaks you out feeling. Thats what happened to me

I've had that happen occasionally. I also notice if I was really hot, then showered, my body still hadn't cooled enough, and I still sweat through my head... small price to pay for being slick and smooth.

The "meat" sweats are especially bad... you know, the sweats you get when you eat a large steak or a lot of turkey! My head glows light a light bulb... oops, a illumination device to be PC!

Spicy food, like most of the stuff we eat in New Orleans & South Louisiana and Tex-Mex doesn't cause me a problem, but Indian & Thai curries and the spicy Vietnamese stuff causes sweat on the back of my head in the shadow area, probably because they are that much hotter. (It's probably differenct too, because many here, like me, can't even do our morning eggs w/o a couple of shots of Tabasco Sauce! We're inoculated against anything but the hottest!) Spicy Popeye's Chicken doesn't unless I get a couple of peppers to go with it. It was that way before Sly too, it's just easier now to wipe w/ a napkin. Exercise causes sweat all over, but since I can wipe it off w/ a towel, I don't need a band on my head to absorb it as it "drains" from the hairy (sparce or otherwise) areas.

I would have to agree with champ, razor, and shdwwlk, I think having the shaved dome is a definite advantage when it comes to sweating. Just wipe it down and you're ready to dive back into the jalapenos. 8)

I dont get that effect from spicy foods, the hotter the better IMO.
I did however just get back from the gym where the thermostat must have been set at 80 because I was sweating far more than normal. I just keep a towel with me and keep wiping the sweat off.
