In my neck of the woods calling someone "butterbean" is sort of like saying they are all soft, squishy, and well, just butterbean like....I can't really describe what it means other than that.....It's one of those terms that coming from your grandma it would be fine because it would be endearing...but from another dude it would be like, well, wierd.
