I GOT CARDED!
« on: January 11, 2013, 07:18:10 AM »
So, on the way home from work yesterday, I stopped by a convenience store to get a six pack, and I got carded!
Well, the cashier paused, looked up and ask "how old are you"?
Now, it's not 100% certain that it was due to my purchase, but I'm guessing it was.

When I told him 46 and asked if he needed to see my ID, he looked surprised and said that wasn't necessary.

Now, I know I'm handsome beyond compare  :D and I have a youthful glow that is the envy of all you guys  8), but I never expected to get carded.

There you have it. For those of you on the fence. Stay looking young, GO SLYO:O

Have a great weekend.

 O0 That's great.

Last time I got carded was last year in New York state, I thought the bartender was just after a tip ;), but on further investigation he said a bar in that City, it may be a state law, that has been cited for underage drinking is required to card--with a copy--each and every patron >:( during the penalty period after being found guilty.

I went into a restaurant once, I can't remember where it was. Wisconsin or somewhere like that. I ordered a beer and I was asked for ID. I thought she was kidding but she said they have to ask everyone for ID, even "old guys with walking sticks"

Given his age and my wedding ring, my guess is not, Red.

Did he have a white cane, too?   >:D

I went to a movie with a friend right before New Year's and the cashier charged him a dollar less than me. When I asked why, the cashier said he'd given my friend the senior citizen discount.  My friend is a year older than me.   :-[

I could tell it was bothering him and later he commented that everybody over the age of 30 looks old to an 18-year-old.  I reminded him that I had been charged the full price.   >:D

Razor, was your friend Sly too?  If not, that is more proof that Sly makes you look younger!    O0   But somehow, he must look a lot older than his age to the 18y/o.   You must have felt pretty good walking into the movie that night..lol.

I know, I know.

The burdens that we young and good looking, handsome virile bald  blokes have to put up with. Not only are the women and/or men always throwing themselves at us but now this. I am seriously thinking of allowing my hair to grow back now.

The nightclubs card everyone well, in my state in Australia, haven't had experience in other states. But most of the pubs don't ask for ID, well not from me anyway. I've even noticed some of the places where everyone gets carded they just take my card, don't even really look at it and pass it back, sometimes they don't even take it and just wave me on.
